October Recruiting Update!

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Alot of action during this last offseason month of the year. If the recruiting pace of the last three months is any indication of what the next six months will be like, hold on to your seat because it will be a mach speed. We've been very encouraged by the activity within the state by a handful of college coaches that have been working hard charting and evaluating players weekly. Here's the latest. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1573155' first='Braydon' last='Hawthorne'] has committed to play for WVU recently. WVU was Hawthorne's first power five offer after being offered over a dozen times by mid-major programs in the last twelve months. Hawthorne has the length and talent to be an elite player and is far from reaching his ceiling as a basketball player. His 6'9" frame and shooting ability has drawn some comparisons to Kevin Durant and on film you can actually see the likenesses. We're not gonna project him as the next KD but we do think the NBA is within reach. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='2295581' first='Elijah' last='Pendleton'] has recently received an offer from Alice LLoyd College. This is Pendleton's first offer and could set off the dominoes leading to more offers as often happens in recruiting. Pendleton is a great size shooting guard that's athletic enough to guard multiple spots. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='2208825' first='Zane' last='Saunders'] was recently offered by Waynesburg College after attending their elite camp on October 5th. Saunders had a great round of events with being one of the top players at the BlueChips Nation Hoop Summit where Waynesburg was present as well as having a monster weekend at the Big Shots All Star event. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='1573144' first='Maki' last='Cary'] received his third offer from Dean College last week, then followed that up with a visit to St Vincent College in Latrobe PA. Cary is returning as one of the state's premier scorers and guards.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='2211912' first='JoJo' last='Greene'] recently received an offer from John Melvin University. Green had offers already with Kentucky Christian and Southern Arkansas. Greene is one of the top two-way guards in the 2026 class. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>[player_tooltip player_id='2208821' first='Caleb' last='Thomas'] received a recent offer from D2 Fairmont St. Thomas has a few offers in hand already but this is his first in-state D2 offer. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recruiting Buzz</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2528455' first='Levi' last='Wanless'] is one player who's stock has skyrocketed in the last couple months. Making his appearance at the BlueChips Hoop Summit and playing great and following that up with playing on the BlueChips Fall League team at Anderso Court, Wanless has caught the eye of at least one D3 school and they've made it clear they will be following up with him. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another player who's stock has had a recent uptick is [player_tooltip player_id='2410034' first='Phoenix' last='Sickles']. Sickles could finally have an offer soon if things work out as he has gained some recruiting traction in the D3 world. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>BlueChips Nation confirmed there is serious interest from more than one school in [player_tooltip player_id='2241529' first='Coleson' last='Christus']. Christus was one of the top players at the BlueChips Nation event in August where he got immediate attention with fantastic play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1309597' first='Xavier' last='Kirk'] is gaining momentum as there's serious D2 interest in his direction. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Waynesburg College, Franciscan University and Davis &amp; Elkins College have all been spotted at Anderson Court fall league during BlueChips Nation squad games.
