Cary’s continued production and increase in assists through this year will put him on the radar of some higher level D2’s and likely offers between his junior and senior seasons.

Maki Cary Maki Cary Maki Cary 5'10" | PG Teays Valley Christian | 2025 NC embodies what a new age guard really is in this age of basketball.  Forcing defenses to defend all five on the floor and put all attention his direction as he’s such a strong scorer and shooter.  Cary likely projects out to be a point guard at the next level, but certainly fits the bill as a combo guard as well.  If you like to watch or recruit a player that can force tempo and put constant pressure on defenses, this is your guy.

Carey definitely drew some eyes to his game this summer. He’s a dynamic offensive player that can really be effective on or off the ball. Carey doesn’t need much space to get his jumper off, especially since he can shoot with 3 point range even with a hand in his face. He has a really solid mid range game as well. I like when he works right to left and gets to the free throw line for a pretty FT line jumper.
