High School Spotlight: Silver Creek Dragons

The season is still a few months away, but with team workouts starting to take place soon, it is the perfect time to start previewing the season. In this series, we will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and notable games for the upcoming season. He returns as the leading scorer for the Dragons with his 16.7 points and 3.6 rebounds as sophomore last season. Over the summer, he broke out on the AAU scene playing for Wildcat Select on the 3SSB circuit earning a few D1 offers from schools such as Eastern Illinois and Morehead State with multiple other programs having interest in him. One of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the state is looking to have a have a strong junior season. He will put up big numbers this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/mason-darrell/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hunter is an incoming sophomore but has been a player out of southern Indiana that has been on the rise. The 6'1 lead guard is coming off a strong AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='2317250' first='Indiana' last='Elite 3SSB'] 2027 as well as showing strong flashes as a freshman last year for the Dragons. He returns an impressive 6.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game and with a march larger role in the backcourt paired with Daeger, Hunter could really pop off this season. He is a true floor general that can get buckets as well.
