High School Spotlight: Carmel Greyhounds

The season is still a few months away, but with team workouts starting to take place soon, it is the perfect time to start previewing the season. In this series, we will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and notable games for the upcoming season. The 6'0 lead guard returns 13.3 points from last year while also returning his remarkable decision making and on-ball guard skillset. Couto is the floor general of this year's team like he has been over the recent years while also being a true scorer as well at times and with more experience, his scoring number could see an increase. he recently committed to Huntington and will be looking to lead Carmel back to glory be competing for a Sectional 8 Championship. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are a ton of incoming juniors that are poised for a breakout season and [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell'] could be the leader of that group. The 6'8 power forward started to really blossom as a player towards the end of last season and parlayed that into a strong summer with Indiana Elite. As a sophomore, he averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Harrell is very consistent inside while being able to stretch the floor, being a great rim runner, athletic, and got stronger since last season.
