Freshman Series: Shooting Guards

In this article you will find the best shooting guards entering high school. There are a ton of sharpshooters and defensive studs in this class. You would really never know he's a freshman out there based on his ability to get to his spots. He's shown that when he gets hot, he can go on 8-0, 9-0, 10-0 runs by himself. I also think that he is going to be able to make an impact defensively this season for Desert Pines. His athleticism allows him to make just about any play and he shoots the 3-ball very well. Since defenders have to defend him behind the arc, he intelligently uses that space to get downhill and comes up with a lot of lay-ups. When you see Miles play you'll notice he competes very hard and can really shoot the ball. His other top skills are his ball-handling and his IQ. He is one of those players that tends to make the right play with the ball. There is a lot to like about his game, and he is usually one of the better athletes on the floor. From what I have seen so far, he looks to be a consistent scorer that knows how to create his own shots. His hustle is another attribute that has stood out when I've watched him play. His ball-handling is there, and I think he has a really nice looking shooting stroke. He is going to be a very difficult guy to match up with on both offense and defense. He plays the point position as well, so he could honestly go on that list too. He has some impressive quickness and he uses it to get to the basket often. His mid-range game is also coming along. If he can expand his range he will be an even tougher guard. He can really fill it up and is definitely one of the better shooters entering high school. What I like most about his game is his ability to hunt shots and finish through contact. Glusman's top skill is his shooting and he is capable of hitting multiple shots from behind the arc every game. His ball-handling is pretty decent as well. He uses his speed to get to the cup, and if he gets cut off he can find his teammates for assists. He uses an array of moves to set up his shots and can be quite deceptive. On defense, he has very active hands and picks a lot of pockets.
