Fall Ball: SEPA Standouts

Below is a review of four prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania who have impressed during fall ball action over the last six weeks.    Brown's 23-point outburst last week at the CBG JUCO-Prep Showcase was the latest installment in his breakout stretch of play this fall. His athleticism, size, interior scoring and rebounding skills have been well documented on this site. But recently Brown has also displayed a more accurate jump shot with range out to the arc. His court awareness and footwork have improved too. Brown's ability to run rim-to-rim and then score on the secondary break is often overlooked. The upside on this stretch 4 / 5 prospect is tremendous.     Despite a highly decorated career at Muhlenberg, Collado (1st Team All-Berks selection) somehow remained under the radar last year. The move to national powerhouse Phelps for a postgraduate season is already paying dividends. In the last few weeks, Collado has been a standout performer at marquee fall ball events like the Big 64 Showcase. This lefty is a deadly three-point shooter and owns a polished mid-range game. Collado can operate as a distributing primary ball handler too. As a point guard his effective hesitation dribble is part of a deep bag of moves. Earlier this week Collado received an offer from John Melvin University (D2).     Green is widely considered a Top 20 prospect nationally for the Class of 2027. After watching him this fall, it is easy to see why. Green is a remarkable stretch-4 prospect with the skills and athleticism to have an immediate impact at the collegiate level. Over the last six weeks Green has drained shots from all over the court, displayed tremendous open court skills and at times operated as a point-forward. On defense Green is an intimidating shot blocker and plus rebounder. Green already holds offers from Villanova, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and others.     With the graduation of several key players from a successful 2023-24 season, McKoy has ascended to the No. 1 option at Berks Catholic. He has used the games at the Comp Edge Fall League to prove he is ready for that promotion. Over the first three weeks of Comp Edge action, McKoy has dominated opponents and posted several 20-point games. His is a three-level scorer with tight handles and a high IQ. When you combine those assets with his athleticism, speed, and length you get a prospect who can play both guard spots as well as the wing. McKoy's transition scoring and distributing skills are impressive. His decision making on the fast break is remarkable as well.
