LAS VEGAS — The Border League has established itself as the premier fall high school/prep school basketball event on the west coast and the 2024 edition was no different. The event features many of the top high school and prep school prospects from around the country in a high level hoops showcase. We were in attendance at Coronado and Desert Pines high schools over the weekend and below are some of the most versatile prospects we watched over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] | Millenium (AZ)

There's not a whole lot that Holmes can't do on a basketball court. The 6-foot-5 wing is a dribble, pass and shoot threat whose basketball IQ allows him to initiate offense in a point-forward role. Holmes' feel for the game makes him an efficient off-ball player with his cutting and finishing around the rim and his combination of length and athleticism allows him to guard multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] | St. Mary's (AZ)

There are few prospects out west who have the combination of size, skill, dexterity and upside that Williams has. The 6-foot-10 forward flashed some floor stretching ability with face-up shots out to 17-feet when we watched him Sunday and his mobility, ball skills and touch allowed him to impact the game in the paint in transition and half-court situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131780' first='Christian' last='Collins'] | St. John Bosco

Collins is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the country and it is because of his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. The 6-foot-8 junior uses his wiry frame, high level vertical and lateral athleticism and big time motor to guard multiple positions, rebound the defensive glass and clean up defensive mistakes with his quick reaction and recovery instincts. Offensively, Collins is best as a slasher and finisher but continues to show improved touch out to the three-point line.

Hudson Greer | Montverde Academy (FL)

Greer flashed his versatile offensive skill-set all weekend. The 6-foot-7 Texas-native made the move to Montverde and the simplicity of his game makes him a highly-effective player among an all-star cast of prospects. Greer shoots the catch and shoot three-ball with consistency, can create shots for himself and teammates off the bounce and has a pop of vertical athleticism around the basket that allows him to finish over rim protectors.

Jaden Toombs | Dynamic Prep (TX)

Toombs possesses a nice mix of old-school and new-school big man skill with his game. The 6-foot-9 SMU-commit is a skilled low-block scorer with fundamental footwork, the ability to use his upper and lower body to seal and create space from defenders, and has touch with both hands around the basket. Toombs also showed mobility in pick, roll and finish situations and stepped out onto the perimeter with touch on his face-up shot.
