LAS VEGAS — The Border League has established itself as the premier fall high school/prep school basketball event on the west coast and the 2024 edition was no different. The event features many of the top high school and prep school prospects from around the country in a high level hoops showcase. We were in attendance at Coronado and Desert Pines high schools over the weekend and below are the most clutch performers we saw.

Anthony Felesi | Utah Prep

Felesi stepped up in a major way in multiple games over the weekend. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard stepped into catch and shoot three's with confidence and knocked them down in big moments against other nationally-recognized teams and prospects. Felesi was also impactful on the offensive and defensive boards and in ways that don't show up on the stat sheet like diving on the floor for 50-50 balls and defending at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630617' first='Brayden' last='Burries'] | Roosevelt

Burries was a double-double threat all weekend and helped Roosevelt, a California public school, keep pace with high level prep schools that pull players from all across the country. The 6-foot-5 guard scored in every way imaginable and his competitive nature stood out as one of the best among the many talented prospects in this event. You can always count on Burries to show up and produce at a high level regardless of who is on the other side.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956504' first='Joe' last='Sterling'] | Harvard-Westlake

Sterling put together one of the most memorable performances of the weekend as he took over down the stretch in a win over a star-studded Overtime Elite team. The 6-foot-3 guard knocked down four straight three-pointers on four consecutive possessions over the last three minutes of a game that went back-and-forth for the first 30 minutes of action. Sterling finished with 34 points and seven triples in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1301344' first='Kingston' last='Tosi'] | Millennium (AZ)

Tosi's takeover in Millennium's comeback win over DME Academy on Saturday ranked as one of the best individual efforts of the weekend. The 6-foot-6 wing/forward is a versatile offensive and defensive prospect whose ability to guard multiple positions, earn deflections in passing lanes and rebound and push the break were on full display in Saturday night's game. Tosi, a Utah State commit, finished with 31 points and eight rebounds in a 66-63 win.

Mikel Brown, Jr. | DME Academy (FL)

Brown showed the offensive toolbox and ability to take over a game with the flip of a switch that makes him such a highly-regarded prospect. The 6-foot-3 point guard is a dynamic shot creator and shot-maker off the bounce as he uses his combination of quickness and deceptive changes of speed and direction to create space from defenders for threes, mid-range jumpers or to get to the rim. Brown carried a heavy offensive load for his team with DME's only loss coming in 66-63 decision to Millennium in which the senior scored 25 points.
