I rarely mention prospects from other states, but it would be a mistake not to acknowledge Asprilla's standout performance yesterday against Plymouth Whitemarsh at the Black Cager event. Asprilla is a legitimate 7-footer with an impressive interior skill set. His post moves were unstoppable, and he crashed the offensive glass relentlessly for second chance points. Asprilla also hit a few elbow jumpers and flashed the ability to knock down threes. For a 2026 big man he owns polished footwork. At the defensive end Asprilla provided intimidating rim protection and grabbed every rebound.

Easter continues to prove that he is an athletic, multi-skilled prospect with tremendous upside. His quick first step, court vision and elusive dribble moves enabled Easter to work as a point guard who scored and distributed. When he played off-the-ball, Easter drained threes and carved up opposing defenses with drives to the rim. He also slashed from the wing to the basket for catch and lay-ins. Plus, Easter excelled in the open court. Defensively, Easter is a plus player who is extremely switchable.

On Saturday Moore buried a slew of long-distance threes and turnaround jumpers as well as scored on the fast break. Still, it was the possessions where he ran as a primary ball handler for Conwell-Egan that impressed the most. As a point guard Moore was a quick and agile, so he blew past defenders and got into the paint for lay-ins. College coaches should love his ability to execute creative finishes in traffic. The smooth mid-range game that Moore displayed is unique among today's high school players. Of course, with his speed and change of direction moves Moore thrived in the open court. The way he attacked defenders on the fast break was impressive.

Yesterday, Carter continued to build his case for being named the top 2028 prospect in the region. Stated simply, Carter is a walking bucket. AT the Black Cager Classic he went head-to-head with two PCL contenders (FJ and DP) and was impressive in every facet of the game. His athleticism is off the charts. Plus, he possesses speed and dynamic finishing moves. So Smith scored in transition all day. In the half-court Smith produced points at every level. His ability to generate scoring opportunities off the dribble was especially impressive. Despite all of scoring skills, Smith was a willing passer who found teammates for open looks. He also displayed basketball instincts and a hoops IQ that were beyond his years.
