2027 Rankings Update: Top 10 Versatility

<p>Positionless basketball has been a catch phrase for a few years now, but it's definitely still a trend. As a matter of fact, it can be seen in the versatility of many of the players in the top 10 of the class of 2027's updated rankings. He has the height and strength to establish position under the rim. But then on the next possession, can and will face the rim. From there, Vinyard can stretch the D with his ability to shoot or attack with his long strides off a 2 dribble drive to the bucket. His versatility has helped make him a national recruiting target.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">While Marino looks like a long term wing to me, he brings a lot more to the table than your basic wing skills. Marino walked into high school with a next level frame. His strength allows him to body with bigger players, but his elite athleticism and above the rim finishing makes it tough for anyone at any position to match up.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Wright combines a lot of different tools that make him a very unique prospect. He's an athletic wing with elite length that can get out in the open floor like a guard. With his height and length, Wright rebounds like a top notch post player. He's even a very solid rim protector.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">LePla could really play any position on the court in high school basketball. Not just play any position, but do it at a high level. LePla is a true 3 level scorer that can attack and get buckets from anywhere. He's simply taller, more skilled and more athletic than most, making him a nearly impossible matchup.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Underwood is a do-it-all type of player and prospect. This grassroots season I saw him matchup with elite post players, wings and guards. He saw success in all of these situations. Underwood has the strength of a powerful post player, but the ball and perimeter skills of a high level wing.</p>
