I was lucky enough to see LePla at work a few times this past summer. The state as a whole needs to see him at The Expo. LePla could show anyone in attendance that he is indeed an elite prospect. LePla can play with a quick twitch style that allows him to shake defenders and create looks at the rim, especially when you add his strength to the equation.

LePla really showcased his talents at The Final Chapter. He just looked so smooth and comfortable in his movements. LePla was able to shift and change while on the move, which left defenders reaching and grasping. He was a factor in transition and well keeping space but still being a factor at the rim.

LePla looked so dangerous on film from the Run N’ Slam. He can be seen manipulating mismatches and attacking them off the bounce. Defenders know that they have to respect his jumper and it puts them at an immediate disadvantage. LePla shows balance and shiftiness on his way to the rim.

Tell me if this sounds familiar – LePla is a matchup nightmare. Same rings true with Jensen. The positional height and strength with his perimeter game is just nasty.

LePla could really play any position on the court in high school basketball. Not just play any position, but do it at a high level. LePla is a true 3 level scorer that can attack and get buckets from anywhere. He’s simply taller, more skilled and more athletic than most, making him a nearly impossible matchup.

LePla is a player that I’ve been very high on since he stepped into high school. His positional size and skills are just at another level. LePla has a balanced offensive game with his ability to score with power under the rim as well as create opportunities for athletic jumpers. He really shined this summer for D Rice Elite.

LaPla sent a very loud statement over the course of his freshman season. He’s probably one of the best rebounding guards in the 2027 class. LaPla attacks the boards with his positional size and vertical game. LaPla can probably guard 4-5 positions at the high school level.
