Today I attended the Zero Gravity New Hampshire Fall Tip Off tournament at The RIM Sports Complex in Hampton, New Hampshire. I watched the varsity division's teams and tried to see as many players as possible. As always, it's difficult to see every player in an entire division over the course of a day.

Here are my part 1 standouts.

Parts 2 and 3 will be coming tomorrow!

If you'd like to read our articles but aren't currently subscribed, use the code “Hodin30” for 30% off any annual subscription!

Fitzgerald got hot during the first half of one of his games and couldn't be stopped from three-point range. The 6-foot-3 wing has a beautiful looking stroke and can shoot it off both the dribble and the catch. He's also got a solid handle and the ability to slash to the lane as a cutter. Fitzgerald's length and size, combined with his shooting ability and overall skill, should definitely make him a highly intriguing prospect at the D3 level.

Cavallo really impressed with his feel and passing ability. The lefty guard is quite shifty with the ball in his hands and always has his eyes up scanning the court for open passing lanes. At 5-foot-11 and only a sophomore, Cavallo has a very bright future ahead, especially if he grows into his length moving forward. Very skilled player who should play a lot this year for Sanborn Regional High School's squad.

Mann is an above-the-rim athlete who's incredibly difficult to stop when he's going downhill to his strong-handed left. He gets high up but also takes contact very well and uses the glass effectively. He works very well as an off-ball slasher, too, because he's got a good understanding of spacing and movement. He needs to improve his shot if he wants to play at the scholarship level, but he's not too far off.

Maiwen was easily the most athletically gifted player at the tournament. He's 6-foot-4 with freakishly long arms and pogo sticks for legs. He can finish above the rim with both hands and seems to have pretty effective touch around the hoop. Defensively, Maiwen has excellent rim-protecting instincts and the physical tools to pair with it. His outside shot is pretty inconsistent, so that'll definitely be a key development point for him moving forward. Scholarship prospect for sure.

Clark has a college-ready body right now. He's 6-foot-3 with great bulk, and he really knows how to use his strength. He's very tough on the inside and can rebound and defend well above his size, which is obviously important for an undersized big like himself. Offensively, he's a solid finisher in the paint and showed the ability to make some really nice reads out of the high post. Clark should be able to find a low to mid D3 fit.
