Varsity Fall League: Tuesday’s Standouts

"Koi" Lide had the performance of the game and certainly made a case to move up in the rankings. He was dominant on offense and displayed a lot of confidence with the ball. In the second half he scored 11 straight points for Rancho and used a variety of slick post moves. In total. the crafty guard connected on four "and one's". After seeing him play again, I have to say he looks like a top ten talent for the class of 2027 in Nevada. The savvy guard makes all the right plays on offense. Mojave pressured him all game long, but he still did a fantastic job creating his own shots. Burns has the capability to blow by defenders and he hit multiple tough lay ups against the Mustangs. He also used his athleticism on defense and got in passing lanes more than a few times. He is very active around the rim and snags a lot of rebounds. His effort might be his best attribute and you can tell that he expects himself to make plays. I got a chance to talk with him after the game and he told me didn't play over the summer due to a meniscus tear. The long wing appears to have his bounce back though, he had an impressive dunk attempt that almost went down. Expect him to be a consistent contributor for the Crusaders this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
