Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We flexed those muscles on Sunday as we welcomed in 150+ of the best freshmen in the state for our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Then, we hosted our inaugural Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp which featured 110+ prospects including half of our Top 25 ranked players. It was an outstanding turnout and a great pool of talent for our first time introducing the event. Over the next week or so our team of scouts at Prep Hoops Indiana will evaluating every player in attendance at both events. However, for now, let's begin by highlighting the top performers.

Craig already had a great freshman season at Warren Central competing against some high level competition. However, we expect to see a breakout sophomore season from the 6'2" guard. He is as physically imposing as any two-way perimeter prospect in his class. Then, when you pair that with outstanding shooting ability and all-around skill level you get a borderline Top 10 prospect in the class. Division I programs should start to take notice sooner rather than later with him.

We've known Hammond as one of the most physically gifted prospects in the state since he came onto the scene, but now the skill level is starting catch up and is really shined at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'3"-6'4" wing shot the ball extremely well while still utilizing the physical strength that separates him from his peers. It will be interesting to see how big of a role Hammond will take on this winter with Terre Haute North.

There is no denying that McKinney is still a work in progress, but that progression has really started to take shape over the last couple of months. The 6'10" sophomore from Brebeuf Jesuit has really become more confident offensively showcasing his ability not just to score around the rim but even stretch the floor a bit out to the perimeter. He can block shots and rebound, but the upside offensively is really intriguing. His rise in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Rankings will be quick and significant.

Few players in the state of Indiana had a better freshman season than this 5'10" guard from South Bend Washington High School. Now, fresh off of a strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 2027 on the UA Rise Circuit, Parker will look to breakout further during his sophomore campaign. He is such a talented scorer showcasing the ability to create his own shot at every level on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Don't let his smaller stature scare you away. He is a bucket-getter.

Sigmund has already solidified himself as one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in Indiana's Class of 2027. He proved that during his freshman season at Decatur Central and through the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 2027. However, he absolutely went off from beyond the arc on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Sigmund showcased his quick release and excellent range time and time again between 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play. It was a really impressive shooting performance.

It feels like we've written a lot about Welker of late, but that just goes to show how good he has been over the last couple of months. He stood out late in the summer at the GRBA Nationals, shined at the IU-Indianapolis Elite Camp, and then was one of the best in the gym at our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'6" wing is so fluid athletically and comfortable with the ball in his hands. Look for a breakout season coming for him this winter at Homestead High School.
