Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We flexed those muscles on Sunday as we welcomed in 150+ of the best freshmen in the state for our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Then, we hosted our inaugural Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp which featured 110+ prospects including half of our Top 25 ranked players. It was an outstanding turnout and a great pool of talent for our first time introducing the event. Over the next week or so our team of scouts at Prep Hoops Indiana will evaluating every player in attendance at both events. For this one, we look at Team 10.

***As you can imagine, trying to cover 110+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

This Warren Central High School product was extremely active off of the ball in our 5-on-5 games. Lawson was able to get open via a backcut on a couple of different occasions which allowed him to finish at the rim despite being a smaller guard. On top of his interior finishes, the 5'8" point guard also knocked down a three-point shot showcasing some perimeter skill and deep range.

You can tell that this 6'0" prospect out of Greensburg High School is a coach's son. His basketball IQ shined throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, but his skill was certainly impressive as well. His shooting stroke was very pure and repeatable as he knocked down a corner three-point shot during 5-on-5 action. Look for Simpson to start factoring into the equation at Greensburg sooner rather than later with his perimeter skill level.

Whether it was early on in 3-on-3 play or later in 5-on-5 action, it seemed as if every time we caught a glimpse of this prospect he was shooting it in from three-point range. HIs off-ball movement got him open consistently, he was comfortable reading screening action, and his range really stretched the defense. Gowin, a LaPorte High School sophomore, really shot the ball well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Lewis was consistently involved in the rebounding efforts from the perimeter which was impressive to see from the 5'10" guard. He would crash the glass, secure the rebound, and then get out to lead the break in transition where he was a sound decision maker and good passer. The Henryville High School guard's activity level was what really stood out on both ends of the floor.

There was an impressive level of versatility to this prospects game. He had the size and strength on the perimeter to be an issue for some smaller guards while his quick first step and overall skill level made it hard for bigger forwards to stay in front of him. Center Grove is going through a bit of a reloading process right now with South being among the large contingent of talented, young prospects.

Carthans is a very talented guard out of Fairfield High School. He showcased the ability to make multiple dribble moves to get by his defender and play with two feet in the paint. The 6'2" guard finished in a variety of ways inside and then displayed some shooting ability from beyond the arc. A pull-up three-point shot he hit during 5-on-5 play was very impressive. Definitely a name to remember.

Radtke's size on the perimeter is what really stood out on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. At 6'2" with a strong build, the North Judson High School product already has positional size at the guard spot. He was effective both on and off of the ball as a shot creator and all-around distributor. Radtke is able to physically overpower some smaller defenders and use his skill to make it hard on bigger opponents.

Here is what we had to say about Welker after the event when he was named a top performer...

It feels like we've written a lot about Welker of late, but that just goes to show how good he has been over the last couple of months. He stood out late in the summer at the GRBA Nationals, shined at the IU-Indianapolis Elite Camp, and then was one of the best in the gym at our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'6″ wing is so fluid athletically and comfortable with the ball in his hands. Look for a breakout season coming for him this winter at Homestead High School.
