Whether it was early on in 3-on-3 play or later in 5-on-5 action, it seemed as if every time we caught a glimpse of this prospect he was shooting it in from three-point range. HIs off-ball movement got him open consistently, he was comfortable reading screening action, and his range really stretched the defense. Gowin, a LaPorte High School sophomore, really shot the ball well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Gowin is a super short guard at around 5’7 but does play with a good IQ. Thought he worked well off the ball so he does have that combo guard ability a little bit. Tough and gritty so his small size does not slow him down in that regard.

Gowin is a small, 5’7″ guard from LaPorte High School. At the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase on Sunday he was able to standout be presenting some real toughness and grittiness as a smaller player. He handled the ball without turning it over offensively and would hold his own on the ball defensively. As he continues to grow and get stronger physically there are some skills that will shine through in the coming years.
