[player_tooltip player_id='1574223' first='CJ' last='Armstrong'] is a 2025 guard from Richfield and played with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 3SSB. Armstrong stands six-foot-three-inches, and can really score the ball off shot creation. He's an excellent outside shooter and very good ball handler. What really sets Armstrong apart and others like him is they make their lay-ups. The touch around the rim in traffic, or all by himself after he gets by a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2575628' first='Barry' last='Simmons'] is a six-foot-one-inch 2025 guard from Apple Valley that played AAU with Twin Cities Elite. Simmons played aggressive on-ball defense and seemed longer than tall which gave him an advantage on the perimeter. Simmons has some ball handling skill, and seems to work well as a secondary back-court guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560760' first='Kyler' last='Pust'] is a 2026 six-foot guard from Champlin Park that showed he can run the traditional point spot and set things for his teammates. Pust can also create a bit for himself off the dribble to keep defenses honest when defending him. Strong ball handler, and can shoot it a bit from the outside. Seems most comfortable and at his best when pushing pace in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560790' first='Daniel' last='Mekonnen'] is a 2026 six-foot-three-inch guard from Eastview. Mekonnen came on in the 2nd half for Team 9 versus Team 10 and showed he could make a few buckets around the rim. His size gives him versatility at the guard position, and even guard up if needed. Mekonnen is a secondary back-court ball handler and a solid passer from the wing.

Desmond Goines is a 2026 guard from Cooper. Goines is a good ball handler, slashing guard. Quick hands, and feet, and good speed with the ball. Goines pestered ball handlers as a defender and I liked how he immediately was looking up in transition situations.
