Freshman Showcase: Jack’s Top Performing Guards

He is able to play either of the guard spots, working well with and without the ball in his hands. He was finding his teammates all game in the one matchup I saw, picking up assists in the half court and when pushing the pace in transition. He impressed me most in isolation situations, having so many different ways he could create separation between defenders. He liked getting to his pull-up jumper from three and in the mid-range. There were moments on Sunday, when the 5'10” guard looked unguardable, with his quickness and tough shot making. He has the ability to size opponents up and connect with difficult looks following step backs or side steps. I primarily watched him in 3v3 action where he played well with more space to work with. He could find teammates for open looks and was scoring himself as well. He looked good when getting to his spots in the mid-range for jumpers, playing off of screens and moving at his own pace, never looking sped up or uncomfortable. He has a tight handle and a deep bag of moves he used to create separation. The 5'6” guard was one of the smaller players on the floor, but could use his quickness and ball handling to create shots for himself. Feahn was also bringing effort on the defensive side of the ball, as I saw him pick the pocket of an opposing ball handler that led to an easy layup on the other end multiple times.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
