PHI released our first look at the 2028 class with our initial watch list which features 30 prospects we believe are worth monitoring this upcoming high school season. We look at them position by position in 2028 Watch List: Wings!

[player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] (Neuqua Valley)

Kelly is the leader in the clubhouse going into their high school careers to be the top prospect in this class when we actually rank it a year from now. He is a 6'6” small forward that can do it all! Kelly is a plus shooter from beyond the arc with a flame thrower for a shot! He can score from all three levels effectively with his handle creating off the bounce with ease. Love his game in the open floor with how well takes it off the defensive glass and pushes it. Good playmaking feel as a point-forward in some situations. The plus athlete also brings potential as a defender checking threes and fours. Complete package early in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego)

Vahl is a silky smooth two guard that can score from all over the floor. His feathery jumper might be his biggest strength. Creates off the bounce with ease getting it off from pretty much anywhere with ease. Good spotting up off the catch along with pulling up from three. Can create his own shot with his handle getting to his spots and gliding past defenders for layups. Natural scorer that also has some passing instincts. Advanced feel for the game and the kid is just a winner.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook)

Really like the overall skill set for Pettigrew. He is a 6'3” shooting guard that has plus size for position and can create his own shot all over the floor both with his jumper and drives. Solid all-around feel for the game passing well for a two guard. One of the best prospects in the class just like his brothers Trey and JT were in theirs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531974' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] (Yorkville)

Porter totally looks the part of a future star on the wing. He is a 6'3” small forward with such a projectable frame with broad shoulders, strength, length, and plus athleticism. Explosive wing that gets to the basket with force. Consistently blew past his man at the Freshman Showcase throwing down dunks along with catching lobs. Monster in the open floor as a transition player.

DeAndre Higgs (Thornton)

Higgs had a massive performance at the Freshman Showcase as the 6'3” wing is a broad shouldered wing that is built like a truck! He consistently wings off the bounce on straight line takes combining his handle and strength. Plays super hard and can hit mid-range jumpers. Impactful defender and high level rebounder on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532031' first='Roosevelt' last='Thomas'] (De La Salle)

Thomas is a 6'3” small forward that has a thick frame. He is a downhill attacker that puts pressure on the rim with his drives. Does it both in transition and the half court playing bully ball and using his overall skill set to get buckets and flashes as a passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] (Lyons)

Smith caught our attention back in July at UAA with [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] and then did it again at the Freshman Showcase as the 6'4” small forward presents strength and a very high skill level to go along with explosive open floor athleticism. He shines playing in transition with his long strides going coast to coast playing above the rim. Wins off the bounce, is quick to the offensive boards for second chance points, and can knock down shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540198' first='Terrence' last='Davis'] (Libertyville)

Silky smooth 6'2” shooting guard that can score from all three levels. He is especially effective pouring in mid-range jumpers with his feathery stroke. Should be one of the top players for Libertyville from the jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532024' first='Noah' last='Corro'] (St. Laurence)

Corro is creating a lot of excitement heading into his freshman season at St. Laurence. The 6'0” shooting guard is a plus athlete that can really handle the basketball getting anywhere he wants on the floor as a high level scorer.
