It is SUPER early for ranking freshmen but you have to start somewhere so we are launching the Class of 2028 rankings this week. There are some super talented kids at the top of this class and several kids who we have heard of but haven't been able to see and evaluate yet. Those players were put on the Watchlist for now. Here's a breakdown of the top shooting guards in our inaugural 2028 rankings. Players who made the top ten overall in the class are not mentioned in this list.

Great Crossing's [player_tooltip player_id='2381668' first='Colt' last='Delimpo'] is one of the best pure shooters I have seen in the class at this stage. He has deep range on his jumper and will likely be a big part of the Warhawks future starting next year. For his freshman season, Colt will get to learn behind a veteran group at Great Crossing and continue getting stronger and becoming more than just a shooter. A name to file away for the future. Especially if he grows.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532048' first='Carter' last='Wolfe'] is another player who has a quick release and smooth mechanics who will be better suited to the varsity level as a Sophomore than he is right at this moment. Carter was a good shooter at our Freshman camp and needs to become more multidimensional on the court. East Jessamine has a strong freshman group and Wolfe has a chance to be a very good high school player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2357247' first='John' last='Shehan'] of Adair County is a big shooter with good range and a quick trigger. The biggest of this group of guards, John is comfortable pulling up from deep or firing from the midrange. He needs to continue to get better at absorbing contact and finishing at the rim to convert And-1 Opportunities.

Grayson County is super young but are contenders in the 3rd region and [player_tooltip player_id='2529625' first='Jackson' last='Davis'] can play a role for the Cougars this year. Even if he is predominantly a catch and shoot player as a Freshman, Jackson can help his team with his high level shooting. Long term, Davis can be a multiple year starter if he develops.

Spencer County has been known to let it rain threes over the past few seasons and they need to reload their roster after losing quite a bit to graduation. [player_tooltip player_id='2392110' first='Cooper' last='Stark'] is ready for the opportunity. Cooper is smaller right now but he is very competitive and doesn't back down. He impressed multiple folks at our Freshman camp and should compete for playing time for the Bears this year.
