Now that the summer has concluded, prospects are back in school, and the season is only a few months away it is time to break down the 2025 class. All this week we dive into the senior class rankings that came out on Monday. Here is 2025 Rankings: Post Prospect Stock Risers!

[player_tooltip player_id='1766464' first='Anton' last='Strelnikov'] (Lake Zurich)

Previous Ranking: #63
Current Ranking: #20

Strelnikov put on a show at Ridgewood in July! He along with the player we will talk about next were the two prospects that had buzz among college coaches. Strelnikov is a traditional back to the basket post that has such a high skill level with his footwork, fake touch at the cup. Uses his strength to garner position and maintain it. Plus plus passer both out of the post and facing up. Can hit cutters and shooters. Shooting potential is definitely in there. Rebounds very well in his area.

Hudson Scroggins (Lake Forest)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #22

Scroggins went from unranked to inside the top 25 with his play in June. The lefty four man is a super high level shooter as a post. He rains them in from three off the catch and is also very adept at one/two dribble pull ups. Runs the floor extremely well. Touch and feel when scoring out of the post and finishes well out of the dunker spot. Like the upside as a mobile and switchable defender that can protect the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105203' first='Kobe' last='Walker'] (Normal Community)

Previous Ranking: #47
Current Ranking: #23

Walker was a back up behind a pair of quality big men a season ago for Normal Community. We always thought he had D1 potential and it showed this summer. He is a five man that rebounds very well in his area, has soft touch around the hoop, and is a solid post defender. The D1 interest has really picked up here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766507' first='Mitchel' last='Edwards'] (Carmi)

Previous Ranking: #85
Current Ranking: #53

Edwards looked comfortable back with his old [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] squad in July and it showed through his production. The state high jump champion is a freaky athlete that plays well above the rim. Does it in transition throwing down big slams, catching lobs, along with being able to blow past defenders for dunks. His best asset might be how well he shoots the ball from the perimeter for a four man. Big time shot maker that has a feathery stroke. One of the best players in southern Illinois that flies under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105191' first='Hunter' last='Gawron'] (Niles North)

Previous Ranking: #80
Current Ranking: #59

Gawron is an athletic four man that brings good strength and pop up front. He does a nice job of finishing with acrobatic moves around the hoop, posting up strong, and running the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538867' first='James' last='Amison'] (Perspectives)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #68

Amison was a major breakout at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals as a 6'8” post that brings plus athleticism on the defensive end switching all over while being able to impact covering on the back end as a shot blocker. Outstanding low post spin moves for scores, got buckets in the pick/roll game, and hit several mid-range jumpers along with stretching to three on occasion. It was a major breakout that left us very intrigued moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1439013' first='Julien' last='Doyle'] (Simeon)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #72

Doyle is an athletic small ball four man that brings plus athleticism up front. He has always been a freak athlete, but the skill level has really taken a step forward with his shooting and handles which is what caught our eye in June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538879' first='Mason' last='Neumann'] (Chatham Glenwood)

Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #74

This was a big time find by our scout Craig Harbaugh who saw him during the second live period saying he is an athletic frontcourt prospect at 6'8” that can play inside and out. He is skilled and can pass it. The athleticism shines through at the rim and can hit shots in the mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766477' first='Zion' last='Young'] (Schaumburg)

Previous Ranking: #156
Current Ranking: #95

Young took a major step forward with his play during the June live period. Strong bodied five man that has slimmed down some which has allowed him to be even lighter on his feet. Quality area rebounder that brings sound footwork and touch scoring in the paint.
