I finally got to watch the UAA Circuit. My last circuit that I didn't cover yet. They were playing July 11-14 in Atlanta and in Chicago July 19-21. I took in multiple games of each team and here were some of the standouts.

We move over to the rising sophomore standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2291974' first='Nick' last='Reber'] Highland ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 16)

A bigger combo guard can take it hard to the basket. He can euro to the rim and score or get fouled using his thicker frame. He can hit the three off the catch as he squares up quickly. He is a true triple threat and will rip thru after a ball fake and get downhill. He sees the court well and makes smart decisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'] San Tan Charter ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 16)

A true point guard who can obviously shoot. He does not get credit with how good of a passer he is. His timing on his passes is next level stuff with drive and kicks and ropes up the court. He can hit the three with parking lot range and a quick trigger.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986797' first='Jase' last='Benjamin'] San Tan Charter ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 16)

A high motored wing forward rebounds with the best of them for his position. He is a natural quick twitched athlete and corrals the ball out of his area that many can't reach. He can dribble and get to the basket using his stocky frame and athleticism. He will cut off the ball for layups in traffic to score and will bring a motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2295694' first='Ben' last='Gruver'] Casteel ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

A highly skilled, growing scoring lead guard can fill it up. He scores it with the floater game, deep threes off the catch and runs the floor. He has a pretty stroke and just knows how to play with a big IQ for the game. He will get some burn on varsity and be more of a focal point the next two years after that.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276245' first='Nizir' last='Cannady'] AZ Compass Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

A scoring point with toughness, speed and skill. He uses his tight handle to jet past his defenders and score in the paint with either hand. He can score with catch threes and create his own offense plus has a knack of getting to the FT line. He is a very good pick and roll decision maker threading the needle or scoring.

Justin Johnson SF 6'5 2027 El Camino/CA ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

A very long and lean active and twitchy wing forward. The long lefty has a nice FT stroke and works well inside the paint. He runs very fluidly on the break and can make tough shots inside with reverse layups taking unusually long strides.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276224' first='Tre' last='Wilkins'] AZ Compass ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

A thicker frame guard can score inside with his build after he uses his handle to get to his spots. He can shoot it from the perimeter and plays a smart floor game. He has a deceptively tight handle to create the separation needed to get his shot off. He can rattle off threes and get hot quickly. He is very competitive on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297437' first='Dylan' last='Vargas'] San Tan Charter ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

An active power forward is very efficient in the paint. He has good hands to catch tough passes and is patient to score. He often cuts and flashes to get open and makes himself available to score. He plays the passing lanes to collect steals and will take it down for a layup. He is also a good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893666' first='Griffey' last='Williams'] Basha ([program_tooltip program_id='2265774' first='UH' last='Elite UAA Rise'] 15)

A scoring guard is a catch and shoot sniper. He lets the ball go quickly beyond the three point line and has one of those strokes that look good every time. He moves without the ball and finds open spots in the defense to find space to get his shot off. He also makes smart reads with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133645' first='Razin' last='Smith Jr'] The Gregory School (Tucson Spartans 16)

A sure handed power forward who can put points on the board. He can score in the paint with spin moves and advanced post footwork. He keeps the ball high and goes straight up to score. He is a glass cleaner and will score on offensive rebound put backs. He passes the ball unusually well for position with a big IQ for the game.
