We are finally entering a little bit quieter time of year on the basketball calendar now that July has officially turned to August. While there will still be some Elite Camps and events of that nature this month, the grassroots season is essentially over and high school workouts won't begin for another month or so. During this time, we would like to take a look back at some of the standouts from the spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Here we will highlight eight of our favorite prospects from the Grit Region.

An athletic wing with a well-rounded skill set, this Timberland High School product had a great spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit with Dangerous Alliance 17u. He spaced the floor as a shooter when off the ball, can make multiple moves off of the dribble to create separation and score inside, and has the length to provide some disruption on the ball defensively. Aydelott's athleticism makes him a good finisher at the rim. Definitely a prospect for small college programs to keep an eye on through his senior season in Missouri.

Conkle earned First Team All-Tournament honors at the Prep Hoops Girt Region Finals to cap off what was a very productive spring and summer on the circuit with Midwest Basketball - Burgett 17u. The 6'0" guard from Coshocton High School is a high-level shooter from beyond the arc making them both off of the dribble and the catch at a high percentage. Putting that level of pressure on the defense from the perimeter then opens up his ability to attack the paint off of the dribble where he can then serve as a playmaker for others as well. Recently picked up an offer from Bluffton while on a visit.

After leading REAL Basketball to a 4-1 weekend at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals in Indianapolis averaging 21.5 points per game, Day was even better the following weekend in Chicago. The 6'2" point guard put up 24 points per game while shooting 9-22 from three-point range in four games at The Last Dance. That shooting ability, along with what he can do creating his own off of the dribble, made the Mount Pleasant High School product one of the best scorers on the Prep Hoops Circuit throughout the spring and summer months.

[program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] - Black won the 17u title at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals and proved throughout the spring and summer to be one of the best independent teams in the Midwest. A lot of their success started with Gray's play in the backcourt. The dynamic playmaker from Grant Community High School displayed high-level decision making with the ball in his hands. He can make any pass out of a ballscreen, gets into the paint consistently, and can score himself from various spots on the floor. Gray impacted winning for the best team on the Prep Hoops Circuit.

This article wouldn't be complete without [player_tooltip player_id='1297034' first='Hudson' last='Horvath']. He was probably the most consistently productive player on the Prep Hoops Circuit throughout the spring and summer. The 6'1" guard from Park Tudor is a big-time scorer that can get hot from beyond the arc, create his own shot from any level, and has some sneaky explosiveness when getting downhill to finish at the rim. It is easy to see why he is so highly sought after by area small colleges. There is no denying his playmaking ability and his knack for scoring the basketball.

Another [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] - Black prospect who played a major role in winning the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 17u championship. Polonowski stands out first and foremost with his size and pick-and-pop ability. He was a consistently floor-spacing threat this spring and summer which helped create efficient offense for his talented teammates even when he wasn't the one putting the ball in the basket. The Lyons High School product is highly sought after across the region by some of the top small college programs. Look for that to continue into his senior season. There is a lot to like about his blend of size and skill level.

Summitt is an athletic, two-way wing that had several dominant showings for [program_tooltip program_id='2485834' first='Indiana' last='Ambition'] on the Prep Hoops Circuit. At 6'3" with excellent length, the Evansville Harrison High School product has all of the physical tools you could ask for on the perimeter. He is consistently disruptive in the passing lanes and on the ball while being switchable across several different positions. Offensively, he is an excellent right hand driver, attacks closeouts, plays in transition, and can finish up above the rim. Highly intriguing small college prospect.

We at Prep Hoops Indiana called our shot with this prospect over two years ago. At the time, Williams was full of raw upside as a rising sophomore that we deemed to be "next up" in the lineage of Ben Davis High School standouts. Now, after a strong junior campaign and great spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Williams has played his way into several small college offers. The super bouncy, 6'7" forward/center is one of the best interior two-way threats in Indiana's Class of 2025. Williams currently holds offers from IU-Kokomo, IU-South Bend, and Kentucky Wesleyan. We continue to love his activity level, rebounding ability, and what he brings to the table as a rim protector.
