Ohio Sophomore ID Camp: Team 9 Standouts

Haney pushed the ball after rebounds and helped his team get started in transition. He also found his teammates with one lefty push pass that was high level. Combine that with his finishing ability that showed polish getting from one side of the rim to the other with jump stops and euro steps, Haney is a problem to deal with offensively. On Sunday, Shelton was impacting the game how Longhorns head coach Jordan Duke will want him to this winter. Defensively, I thought Shelton was excellent with quick feet and disciplined hands. I even had one of the refs comment on how tough his defense was without fouling, especially when he fought through ball screens. Forcing multiple turnovers with his pressure, Bohanon made it tough for opposing guards to dribble securely on Sunday. With good length and timing, Desmonts was throwing off the other team with his rim protection despite not standing much taller than many of the guards on the court. In my notes I had examples of plays where Arnold scored as a 3-point shooter, a driver and a cutter. With good size on the wing and a smooth stroke, Arnold shows some skills that college coaches are looking for in a wing prospect.
