Another prospect from northeast Ohio who I watched at midwest live, Bohanon had a big game as his ability to beat his man off the dribble is hard to find. One of the quickest guards in northeast Ohio, Bohanon is the leader for a Benedictine program that should continue to improve with a nice mix of veteran and young talent. After winning seven games in the 2021-22 season, Benedictine won 10 games three years in a row before Bohanon transferred in and led them to 14 wins, the most since the 2018-19 season. I could see the Bengals eclipsing that number this season in Bohanon’s final year.

I caught Benedictine near the end of my weekend at Midwest Live and Bohanon was getting busy for the Bengals. A shifty guard, Bohanon is tough to stay in front of at the point of attack and getting where he wanted off the dribble. Creating a majority of his offense by himself, Bohanon was breaking down the defense and mixing up whether he wanted to get to the rim or pull-up for a jumper. When you can pressure the defense without a ball screen it really opens up a lot of avenues for you to score or create for your teammates and Bohanon did that at a high level.

One of the quickest guards in the 2027 class, Bohanon has another gear he can hit when he’s flying in the open court. Able to get from point A to point B in a blink of an eye, Bohanon is at his best when he’s playing in the open court and able to confidently attack off the dribble. I’ve also been noticing an improved 3-point shot from Bohanon, with how quick he is some defenders can’t stay in front of him which allows him to generate some open 3-point looks for himself and teammates which he’s confidently taking.

As soon as the ball tipped off for TNBA ‘s game against Mac Irvin Fire Bohanon was in attack mode. Bohanon plays with an immense amount of confidence and is not afraid. He is a nice quick player with a good change of direction. He is a hard player to stay in front of. He elevates high on his jump shot. With this and his length, it is tough for him to contest. The ball comes out of his hands quick. He had multiple moments in this game when he knocked down threes from deep. He has a good vision of the court as well and makes the right play.

Bohanon was another guard who flat out got after it defensively. Forcing multiple turnovers with his pressure, Bohanon made it tough for opposing guards to dribble securely on Sunday. Toss in a strong feel for the game, showed by his work as a setup man for his teammates and Bohanon was an easy standout choice from Sunday.
