<p>Glaze is a presence in the painted area to get to know in the NCHSAA 4A ranks. He's a rising prospect in the 2027 class out of Olympic High who showcased his abilities as a shot blocker this past season with 1.6 blocks per game as a freshman. At 6-foot-6, he's shown he knows how to use his size and athleticism to make an impact around the rim. </p>

<p>Adams is one of a few unsigned seniors on this list worthy of college attention given his activity and efforts in the painted area and around the rim. He returns as the ninth-best shot-blocker from a season ago in NCHSAA 4A after recording 1.6 blocks per contest as a junior at Knightdale High. He's just scratching the surface of what he can do inside and out as a prospect and is quite the defensive presence already. </p>

<p>Williams is another defensive presence to get to know in the Knightdale High frontcourt given his prowess blocking shots. He's a physical presence in the painted area who knows how to make an impact, as evidenced by his 1.7 blocks per game average. He's a bruiser in the painted area who pairs well alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2283174' first='Brandon' last='Adams'] for the Knights.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">7) [player_tooltip player_id='2523078' first='Gena' last='Nkwah'] | 6'5 Forward | Cuthbertson High</h3>

<p>Nkwah is a rising senior prospect to get to know in NCHSAA 3A out of Cuthbertson High as a rim-protector and shot-blocking presence. He averaged 1.8 blocks per contest this past season as a dual-forward presence who showed he could also rebound with consistency. He accumulated a number of multi-block games this past season including five outings of 4 blocks or more. He's one to keep an eye on in the 2025 class.</p>

<p>Buzzard is a hybrid forward name to get to know in the 2026 class over at East Mecklenburg High. He's a wiry prospect at 6-foot-7 who's shown he's more than capable of altering shots in the painted area and around the rim. He returns as the sixth top returner in blocks per game with 1.9 this past season as a sophomore. He's a junior with a bright future ahead of him in the painted area.</p>

<p>Powers remains a strong target on the PH platform out of Davie County High for DII/DIII programs in the region to get eyes on. He returns as the fifth-best shot-blocker in NCHSAA 3A after averaging 2.0 blocks per game as a junior. He's shown solid instincts with his traditional big man game and is also a top returning rebounder to know at 6-foot-5. He's one of a few names to know with Davie County High this year. </p>

<p>Jordan is a budding big man prospect to get to know in North Carolina's 2026 class out of South View High. He's got good size and instincts around the rim and painted area at 6-foot-10 and returns at fourth in top returners in NCHSAA 4A after producing 2.8 blocks per contest for the Tigers. He swatted a season-high nine blocks this past year and looks to do a whole lot more heading into his junior season. </p>

<p>Hines is a top returning rebounder to know as well as a top shot-blocker to know in NCHSAA 4A. At 6-foot-9, he knows how to make his presence felt defensively as evidenced by his 3.2 blocks per contest average. He put together a triple-double against Knightdale High finishing with 10 blocks, 10 rebounds and 12 points this past season. He's a two-way presence for college programs to get to know. </p>

<p>The Clemson commit looks to pick up where he left off this past season for Lake Norman High as he returns at No. 2 in NCHSAA 4A blocks per game. He recorded 4.3 blocks per contest this past year with the Wildcats including a 13 block performance in part of a triple-double effort which saw him score 27 points and snag 16 rebounds as well. </p>

<p>Overman is quite the hybrid forward presence in the Willow Spring High frontcourt and returns as the top shot blocker in NCHSAA 4A after putting up 5.8 blocks per game in 2023-24. He's a high-level defensive presence who's more than capable of holding his own in the painted area with his size at 6-foot-9. He put up double figures in blocks on three seperate occasions as a junior and finished with a triple-double as well behind 11 blocks, 17 rebounds and 10 points. He's a force in the paint to reckon with and an unsigned senior for DI and DII programs in the region to know. </p>
