<p>There's a three-way tie for tenth-place in the NCHSAA 2A to kick things off as [player_tooltip player_id='2175509' first='Joseph' last='Bruce'] (Pine Lake Prep), [player_tooltip player_id='2525646' first='Joshua' last='Smith'] (Louisburg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2525645' first='Owen' last='Cannon'] (Newton-Conover) all come in with 50 made 3-pointers from a season ago. Bruce is a 2025 prospect who made his 3-pointers to the tune of 8.6 points per game but his prowess stealing the basketball (3.1 steals per contest) may be his biggest asset. Cannon knocked his 3-pointers while shooting 37 percent from behind the arc. He's already a UNC-Asheville baseball commit with a year left on the varsity basketball stage. Smith is the youngest of the trio as a member of the 2026 class in the state. He shot 38 percent from deep while averaging 12.0 points per game as a sophomore. </p>

<p>Neal makes his return as quite the top returner in the NCHSAA 2A ranks already, leading the way already in top <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/08/nchsaa-2a-top-returners-assists/">assist-makers</a> from a season ago. He comes in at ninth among returners in 3-pointers made from 2023-24 with 53 makes heading into his junio season. He'll be looked upon to do a whole lot more at the point guard role and has proven his efficiency from deep after shooting 34 percent from deep. Look for that number to improve in 2024-25.</p>

<p>Edwards is a new face to get to know on the PH platform out of Whiteville High heading into the 2024-25 season. He checks in at No. 8 on the list of 3-point shooters after knocking down 55 3-pointers as a junior this past year. He's a 6-foot-2 versatile presence who's shown he can knock down shots from the perimeter after averaging 2.3 makes from behind the arc. </p>

<p>Lane is another new face to learn over at Princeton at the shooting guard spot in the Neuse Conference. He returns at seventh on the list of top returners from a season ago after knocking down 60 3-pointers with the Bulldogs. The 5-foot-10 sharpshooter produced 10.6 points per contest while shooting 34 percent from 3-point land in 2023-24. He's due for an encore senior year as he looks to continue his development. </p>

<p>Price is another name to know in the Randleman High backcourt in the NCHSAA 2A ranks as he returns at No. 6 among 3-point shooters from a season ago. He knocked 64 3-pointers in 2023-24 to finish eighth in the 2A West, according to MaxPreps. Price saw his point production boosted to 8.4 points per game as he looks to make more noise this upcoming season in the 1A/2A Piedmont Conference. </p>

<p>Brown is an emerging prospect to get to know in the 2025 class out of SouthWest Edgecombe High. He returns as their top perimeter shooter to know in the NCHSAA 2A ranks after knocking down 65 3-pointers in 2023-24, according to MaxPreps. He's shown he can knock down shots with efficiency from beyond the arc after shooting 43 percent as a junior. Brown is an unsigned senior prospect to get to know in the Eastern Plains Conference. </p>

<p>Harper is another new face to get to know on the PH platform out of East Duplin following a productive junior season. He returns at No. 4 among the Top 10 returns in the NCHSAA 2A ranks with 66 3-pointers made, after ranking eighth in 2A East, according to MaxPreps. The 5-foot-9 guard knows how to use his strong frame in a number of ways as evidenced by his overall production but his 3-point shooting is something that stands out the most. He shot 37 percent from deep as he continues to climb the varsity ranks with the Panthers.</p>

<p>Martin is already a familiar face on the PH platform after making an appearance on the <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/08/nchsaa-2a-top-returners-assists/">assists lists</a> as an NCHSAA 2A Top 10 Returner. He's a 2026 prospect to get to know out of Owen High on the 3-point shooting front as he checks in at No. 3 among top 3-point shooters returning from 2023-24 after knocking down 66 3-pointers during his sophomore season. Martin shot 36 percent from 3-point range, showcasing his ability to create shots with efficiency at 5-foot-10 in the backcourt. He's one to watch going forward in the 1A/2A Western Highlands Conference.</p>

<p>Sims is a 2026 prospect who's already off to a hot start in the NCHSAA 2A ranks as he returns at No. 2 among 3-point shot-makers from 2023-24, after knocking down 68 3-pointers. He's a rising name to get to know out of Southeast Alamance given his 3-point shooting ability after shooting 32 percent from deep and knocking down 2.3 shots from behind the arc per game through 30 appearances as a sophomore. Sims is one to watch in the 1A/2A Mid-Carolina Conference in 2024-25.</p>

<p>Mcknight rounds out the list of top returners in the NCHSAA 2A out of North Surry High. He's a sharpshooter in the 2A West who's shown he can fill it up from deep, leading the way with 95 3-pointers on 40 percent shooting from deep in 2023-24. Mcknight ranked tenth in all of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps, this past season following an impressive display shooting on the perimeter. He's an underrated name for DII and DIII programs to know given his prowess from behind the arc.</p>
