Compared to the grassroots grind of April through July, and the high school season from November through March, the fall is absolutely the quiet period for basketball. However, what separates Prep Hoops Indiana from the rest is that we provide content 365 days a year. On Saturday morning I made the trip to the Pacers Athletic Center in Westfield in order to catch a matchup between two teams that I was wanting to see more of before the summer ended. In that game, [program_tooltip program_id='2337502' first='Indiana' last='Jammers'] 16u defeated Craig Porter Elite 17u 91-80.

Out of the gate, this was a back-and-forth affair that featured plenty of shot-making. Reece Koomler (Indianapolis Lutheran 2025) was the first to get hot for Craig Porter Elite knocking in three three-point shots early in the first half. However, [player_tooltip player_id='1561105' first='Brady' last='Klopfenstein'] (Terre Haute North H.S. 2026) answered with a couple catch-and-shoot threes of his own and then [player_tooltip player_id='2477143' first='Tre' last='Lewis'] (Terre Haute South H.S. 2026) had a dominant stretch late in the half to keep the [program_tooltip program_id='2337502' first='Indiana' last='Jammers'] hanging right around. It was a 46-41 game in favor of Craig Porter Elite at the halftime break.

To begin the second half, the story was once again perimeter shot-making for Craig Porter Elite. [player_tooltip player_id='1381518' first='Aden' last='Wallace'] (South Vermillion H.S. 2025) hit three triples, giving him five on the game at the time, as his team burst out to a double-figure lead. That would hold until about the 10:00 minute mark where the [program_tooltip program_id='2337502' first='Indiana' last='Jammers'] turned on the jets and made a ferocious run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561105' first='Brady' last='Klopfenstein'] stayed hot from beyond the arc connecting on two more catch-and-shoot three-point shots. Gavin Woelfe (Terre Haute North H.S. 2026) made a consistent impact off of the dribble finishing in the intermediate range and at the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='1560986' first='Conner' last='Daily'] (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2026) got hot for a stretch scoring all nine of his points in the second half. However, it was [player_tooltip player_id='1561438' first='Cooper' last='Bock'] (Sullivan H.S. 2026) that ultimately led the final comeback charge for the [program_tooltip program_id='2337502' first='Indiana' last='Jammers']. A big dunk in transition for the 6'6" forward gave them a 71-68 advantage with about 6:30 to play. That sparked a stretch where Bock scored on six of seven consecutive possessions for the Jammers. His final bucket was an alley-oop And-1 with 2:27 to play putting the Jammers up 86-74. Throughout that stretch, point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561022' first='Brayden' last='Goff'] (Northview H.S. 2026) assisted on four of Bock's six baskets. He did a great job running the show in the second half especially.
