High 5: OverTime Elite’s 2024-2025 Transfers

In this article:
Overtime Elite has been killing it in grassroots player development since 2019. They’ve already had 10 NBA draft picks, and they’re not slowing down. Next season will be no different with the caliber of in-state players transferring into the program. Here are 5 players I’m “high” on for the upcoming OTE season.

averaged 19.6 points per game at Osborne. He’s now playing for Overtime Elite, where he’s preparing for his 2025 ACC campaign with Georgia Tech. Fleming had a light but effective summer with the
Atlanta Celtics
3SSB. Fleming’s overall finishing ability was a stand-out attribute on a guard-heavy Atlanta squad. He’s accurate and efficient in the mid-range, with 2-3 dribble attacks, and a high IQ. Once he gets to his spots, his jump shot is close to a textbook, including a strong gather, balanced form, and high arcing finish. I expect an emphasis on increasing his range while at Overtime Elite due to his occasional perimeter shooting volatility. In seven games, 10.7 ppg 2.7 ast. in 15 mpg with the Celtics known for heavy rotations.

Gillespie committed to OTE in mid-August after an excellent showing with Team USA U18 this summer. Gillispiie is a prototypical combo guard with total confidence in his finishing ability in any spot on the court. He possesses an attribute to not only find his shot, but he finds the BEST shot for him. His proven scoring ability will pair well with the rising facilitation portion of his game, after his stellar scoring numbers at Clarke Central. Overtime Elite will give Gullepsie more opportunities to be on the facilitation level of offensive attacks, making him an even tougher guard in transition.

McVey comes into the Atlanta player-development academy as a complete offensive weapon. He’s a paint and perimeter offensive threat. McVey is very effective in initiating contact with his defender and staying balanced in the base, creating a very reliable transition target. His dominant finishing ability around the basket through a combination of great footwork, physicality, and touch with the basketball. The 7-footer can create his shot off a face-up on the elbow and has extended his range to the 3-point line. Overtime Elite is an ideal spot to continue to develop his perimeter game while still being challenged in the paint.

Listed as a small forward, Parker’s fluidity in the open court leans towards ” point-forward”. Able to catch the outlet and get downhill confidence. His 6’7 stretch frame creates a facade of loose ball handling in transition, giving defenders the idea of creating heavy pressure for turnover. Instead, Parker transitions his long drive to a unique high gather and a soft touch around the basket. He’s got a very poised offensive game and doesn’t get sped up. Parker thrived this summer in his hybrid forward position for a stacked GameTime Elite with 14.7 ppg and 7.2 rpg in 25 mpg in the 3SSB circuit. I would predict his focus will be on getting more primary ball-handling reps. Overtime Elite has an emphasis on getting his court IQ and making him a solidified future pro.

‘s #1 ranking is justified by his ability to make plays and create easy looks for his teammates. Diop is a force on both sides of the ball. He gives lockdown defensive effort, secures the rebound, initiates the break, finds a teammate in transition, and keeps working to be available for the finish (in 1 possession). He takes advantage of his length and agility whenever he gets the opportunity. Expect him to expand his ability to finish the play in the open court and add more versatility to his perimeter game with his year at Overtime Elite. Diop has NBA lottery pick potential, but for now, SEC teams.
