Andrew Baxley’s Film Room: 2026s Part 2

He submitted just a short mixtape from the USC Team Camp, but it still provided a look into his skillset. He is a bouncy guard who excels in finishing around the rim. Brown is very good in transition but can also use his handle to get past defenders or his athleticism to hang above rim protectors. There was a big sample size of him knocking down outside shots in his highlights - particularly off the catch with his feet set. Francis also has lots of good qualities playing as an on-ball guard or an off-ball guard including a knack for beating defenders off the dribble, good vision, creative finishes, and a floater. Pierce is a very good outside shooter and most of his film was perimeter shooting, although he did show some skill in taking the ball to the basket off the dribble. Levi positively affects the game from his wing position by stretching the floor with shooting or creating off the dribble. Ball is strong at both rims possessing great shot-blocking instincts as well as athleticism to finish on and above defenders. He also showed on film that he will stay active off the ball find space around the perimeter or cutting through the defense to get easier looks at the basket. On the defensive end, he jumped passing lanes, drew charges, and picked pockets in help while on the offensive end, he provided lots of spacing with shooting off the catch and off the dribble. Johnson has a little bit of a thicker frame and is not as quick, but did display an ability to control the pace of play in the half-court and stay composed under ball pressure.
