2025 Updated Rankings: Newcomers I

The PH NorCal Class of 2025 Rankings have been updated. Here in NorCal we make the effort to see as many new and upcoming prospects as we can. We might miss a few but we'll keep trying. In this update we have the top ranked newcomers.    Hampton returns to NorCal rankings as our top ranked newcomer, he's not new to us though, he was in SoCal at SCA last season. He's 6'7 college body with a skill set that allows him to effect the game from different areas on the court. He's comfortable handling, passing, and putting up shots along the perimeter as well as driving into the paint. He has the strength to get a bucket inside. He'll defend post players, get his rebounds. He just picked up an DI offer recently.     James had a good Spring and Summer. The long wiry wing showed he could be a reliable player. He has good balance and control dribbling into the paint, putting up shots in traffic. He shows a mid-range off the dribble, and range to knock down 3's. He'll help rebound, handle, pass and finish in transition. The long wingspan takes up passing lane.     He's probably always had range and 3pt capabilities. He seems to be putting it all together this season. Going into the Spring and Summer, he's showing himself to be a consistent shooter and a real threat to drop 3's if left unattended. He dropped big shots multiple times in key stretches of a game against quality competition while we were watching. He's a competitor!     He's the one that doesn't get plays called for him. We call him the X Factor. Always involved in the action, working for rebounds on both ends, defending multiple positions, mostly post. He's an excellent ball mover, court runner and a screener. He'll get his points hustling and in the paint, going up strong.     He's the tallest prospect in the NorCal 2025 Class. He's a prospect that has continued to build upon his 6'11 frame. His skills for the Center position are sharpening. He has a shot you can't block when he gets deep at this level. He works from the high, low and mid-post, with a 1-2 dribble move, some touch in the paint. We've seen him make a 3ptr. He'll use his length to distract shooters, and defend in the post. A late bloomer maybe with upside.     He's one we'll be getting a closer look going forward. The times we did see him, he had good activity in the paint on both sides. He's a go to guy on his team when they need a bucket inside. He'll use the 1-2 dribble for jump hooks, he can hit paint jumpers, goes up strong off two feet. He's a rebounder, with good passing, he'll set solid screens and hustle up court.     He brings experience to the system. He has good size at 6'4. He finds a body to boxout, going for rebounds. He's a ball mover, sets solid screens. He's shot ready along the perimeter, uses a dribble to get to the paint for kick-outs, and paint jumpers. He'll spot up for corner 3's. He has a good stance, helps off the ball.
