Peterson put together one of the most dominant performances during a marquee July grassroots event, scoring 38 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Peterson did an excellent job getting to the foul line, going 18/20. One of the most polished scorers in the country, Peterson did an excellent job getting to his spots and pulling up from the mid-range. His best sequence of the evening came when he blocked a shot and immediately took it coast to coast and finished with his left hand. One of the top players in the country, multiple NBA teams had scouts in attendance tonight.

Henderson had a much different role than what I saw in June with his high school team but found ways to be productive. Grabbing a couple offensive rebounds, Henderson provided energy to his team with his overall activity. Also running the lane in transition and scoring on the fast break. Finally, Henderson blocked a jumper to end the first half and was competing at that end of the court. We'll see if he gains the comfort to hit perimeter shots and attack off the dribble that he showed during June, this time against much higher competition levels.

Njie played with excellent heart and hustle on both ends, guarding a trio of bigs all a couple inches taller than him. With his rebounding, rim protection and ability to attack off the dribble, Njie found multiple ways to impact the game and usually doesn't need the ball in his hands to make a positive impact on his team.

Mitchell impressed me as basically the only efficient scorer for Indiana Elite. He knocked down a couple shots off the catch, spacing the floor from the wing and corner. Mitchell also had a steal that led to a breakaway slam dunk. Scoring 12 points off the bench in a game at the level of Indiana Elite Vs Phenom United is notable and I expect low major programs to have a close eye on Mitchell who has only posted offers from Division II and NAIA programs so far.
