Henderson put in on of the best displays of scoring and shot-making that I have seen in a while and possibly all season. He finished the game with 37 points and had 21 at the half. He carried most of the offensive load at Westerville Central in this game. He was scoring the ball on three levels all game. He showcased a great touch around the rim and in the paint. He was knocking down shots from all over the court and it didn’t matter if he was open or contested. He made difficult shots. His confidence and energy were high all game and it was contagious to his teammates. He was letting everyone in the gym know that he was in a zone tonight and was not going to be stopped. Henderson came out and was ready to fight for the season. He proved he is one of the best scorers in the state.

Henderson had a strong opening to the rivalry battle with South as he hit a couple tough mid-range pull-up shots in the first quarter. Add in a couple floaters where he worked as a PNR ball handler and a couple flash defensive plays, Henderson keeps you on your toes at all times on the court. To end the game, Henderson had a steal that led to a dunk right after the final buzzer to clinch the victory which led to a mini court storming as Central secured the rivalry win in a tightly contested battle throughout.

Henderson had one of the most impressive individual performances I have seen this year. In a losing effort, he had a game-high in scoring. He constantly did things on the floor that others could not. He is a high-level scorer that has a great midrange game. He did a great job of getting to his spot and jumping stopping and playing off two feet. He would pivot to create space well. He did a great jump of pump faking and creating space for himself to shoot the ball. He had a 360 and 1 layup at one point in the game. Henderson is an incredibly shifty and long player with a high-level skillset.

Really impressed with the growth Henderson has shown this summer and he looks like he’s going to carry that momentum into the winter. Henderson is an elite athlete and his most impressive athletic play was a rebound in traffic where Henderson skied for a rebound in traffic. Really improving as a shot maker as well, Henderson made some tough mid-range shots and ended a quarter Vs Upper Arlington with a banked 3-pointer at the buzzer to steal a win.

The most improved player in Ohio from the end of his Junior season to the start of his Senior season, Henderson’s stock was soaring like a rocket this summer. After going from a relative unknown for Division I programs, Henderson got his first offer from Stetson then saw his recruitment spike at Midwest live with some dominant performances. That weekend tells me that Henderson is set for a monster senior season and should be in the mix to win the award.

Henderson had a much different role than what I saw in June with his high school team but found ways to be productive. Grabbing a couple offensive rebounds, Henderson provided energy to his team with his overall activity. Also running the lane in transition and scoring on the fast break. Finally, Henderson blocked a jumper to end the first half and was competing at that end of the court. We’ll see if he gains the comfort to hit perimeter shots and attack off the dribble that he showed during June, this time against much higher competition levels.

The fastest rising prospect in Ohio, Henderson has blown up at Midwest Live and continues his crazy upward trajectory. One of the best athletes in Ohio, Henderson can dunk on you in transition and is incredibly explosive vertically. After improving his jumper to become a set shooter, Henderson has started doing things off the dribble I couldn’t imagine him pulling off just six months ago. Knocking down step-back jumpers, pull-ups and contested 3-pointers, Henderson was getting busy this weekend. I thought there was a chance Henderson could blow up this weekend as he was our choice for the featured image of our 2025 guards to watch article, but even I didn’t expect him to have the type of performance he showed on Saturday and Sunday.
