Day 1 of Prep Hoops Last Dance event began on Friday! We had several teams start games in the evening. Here are my top prospects from Friday's games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334404' first='Tre' last='Watkins'] 2026 Basketball Paradise

Tre was electric getting downhill finishing at the basket with either hand. He showed good body control in the air and used a soft touch to finish in traffic. He made one three but did most of his work at the basket.

Kye Ward-Owens [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] 2026

Kye had it going from deep when I was able to catch the action. He has a quick release on his shot and it never touched any part of the rim but he didn't just take a ton of shots on the perimeter. Kye made some tough buckets at the rim while getting fouled in the process. His game has lots of upside and we see why some coaches are starting to add him to their radar.

Tyjuan Hunter [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] 2026

Hunter impacts the game like no other guard in the state. He is a pest of defense but can also serve up a handful of assists while scoring double-digit points each game. He plays at a steady pace and makes big shots for his team especially the steal to give his team the lead to start overtime. He finished with 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1511975' first='Camden' last='Vine'] [program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops'] 2025

Camden was shooting with a good rhythm Friday night. Game leading 24-point performance. Vine hit 4 threes in the win. He is smooth off the catch and did a really good job at creating space to get his shot off. Camden is a small college gem.

[player_tooltip player_id='2391672' first='Jeffrey' last='Hassan'] M14Hoops 2027

Hassan is a kid who has a tremendous upside for his size and age. He's a bit raw on offense but does a great job at rebounding and rim protection. Jeffrey was seen turning back shots left and right. He controlled the paint area at times. As he gets older and more acclimated to playing around the rim he will become a huge problem.
