Another group of players that we feel are becoming better prospects. In somewhat of a news dump, get everything out there fashion, here are my thoughts!

[player_tooltip player_id='1592856' first='Jackson' last='Driessen'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] (6'2, 2025, Centennial). Who is the hottest shooter in 17u in July? There is a chance it's this guy! At least when we are watching. Two weekends ago Jackson hit 12 threes in a game and scored 38 points. Let me say that again, he hit A DOZEN threes in a game. We often get excited when a guy hits five in a half, maybe six. Jackson hit TEN in a half. And then he followed that up last weekend shooting it well again scoring in double digits each game and hitting four threes scoring 19 points in the game I took in.

[player_tooltip player_id='2109925' first='Kyle' last='Hustrulid'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] Leo (6'5, 2025, Edina). Another day, another summer post about Kyle being two way productive. He's got very good size for a wing, he's shooting higher percentage wise, playing with more confidence and he has a really good frame. Heat Leo seems to really have some players developing right now and we've seen it a lot this summer with Kyle likely being the best example.

[player_tooltip player_id='1437303' first='Brogan' last='Madson'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] (6'1, 2025, Mankato East). Yes I realize Brogan gets constant press, and I realize this is about my 30th time talking about him in 12 months. But I feel like it's very important to note that he went against another batch of athletes and had success getting to the rim regularly. His leverage, intelligence, skill and fight combine to make one of the better lead guards we have seen and his teams to continue to have success. It's important to note that once again, athletes with great feet once again could not stop him from getting deep in the lane to playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617724' first='John' last='Schmidt'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] Shepherd (6'5, 2025, Chanhassen). I think [player_tooltip player_id='1617724' first='John' last='Schmidt']'s name has come across my phone more from other Prep Hoops Scouts than anybody when it comes to "have you seen this kid?". Schmidt continues to be highly productive in a lot of ways. He was a 38+ percent three point shooter this winter and he's still shooting well, but the shots he takes are the right ones plus he's defending with more a purpose, with more of an impact using his active frame. Another 6'5/6'6 forward I look forward to seeing grow in this state because he's playing at a high level in a balanced way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560847' first='Thomas' last='Shunmugavelu'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] (6'4, 2026, Wayzata). The Fury Antl team is playing at a very, very high level right now and we all know [player_tooltip player_id='1560807' first='Isaac' last='Olmstead'] is a big reason for that, but another massive reason is the play of Shunmugavelu. When it comes to rebounding and screen setting, it's tough to find a junior-to-be in Minnesota that does those things at his level. Thomas is a space creator and a possession ended. Now throw in some of these physical finishes we are seeing and he's taking his game to an entirely new level. One of the best 16u players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2445176' first='Oliver' last='Tordsen'] of Minnesota Rise (6'7, 2025, Fairmont). This low post, physical dunk everything I can prospect is one that I looked at the first time and didn't think highly of. As the 17u season has moved on, he's been one of the players that has grown the most. He is physically finishing everything he gets his hands on around the basket and rebounding in bulk. Confidence is up, productivity is up, and I think he's been one of the better stock risers.
