Fallingstad brought the energy early and often in their late morning matchup against Love of the Game. Had an athletic dunk in the games opening stages. Flying down the lane for a ferocious two-handed slam. Also got to see how he controls his feet on the low block. Saying it was extraordinary would be an understatement. Gave them an early double-digit advantage. But when he was subbed, the lead shrunk. Upon his return, he force a turnover defensively which led to a transition assists. At least three second-chance opportunities help them hold the lead for this time. More passing allowed them to eventually make it a 20-point game. Finished with 17 points. 15 coming in the first half.

A look at Waukee Jam 16u Orange

Waukee Jam's 16U Orange team has several names to look out for. One of whom is [player_tooltip player_id='1973559' first='Jackson' last='Davis']. The 6'6” SF already has the strength to compete at the next level. Complements that with terrific speed up the floor. Against Diamond Hoops, Davis made several strong drives to the rim and showed he can finish with both hands. Also buried a smooth hook shot near the rim. Another name to watch is 7'0” C [player_tooltip player_id='2484494' first='Max' last='Allison']. He didn't make a huge impact in the game I watched. But he's definitely a coach able prospect at the next level. Especially for a 16-year old with his size. A third player to watch with a high amount of potential is [player_tooltip player_id='2055726' first='Tyson' last='Davis']. The 6'5” SG is a very similar player to Jackson in terms of his strength and athleticism. Used that to his advantage in numerous ways. Good strides finishing inside on the break. Later extended his range for a 3-pointer from the top of the key. The game against Diamond Hoops turned into a good one. Landon Hoppe ultimately led the way with 16 points to secure the win.

Several top SD Prospects on Sanford. Dominates WI Blaze

The Sanford sports academy from South Dakota features several of the states top prospects, which were on display in front of numerous college coaches Saturday afternoon in the 17u Bronze QF against WI Blaze. One of whom is 6'8” F [player_tooltip player_id='1535886' first='Nick' last='Hanson']. Currently the #5 ranked prospect in the state, Hanson impressed in a variety of ways. Has really good speed up the floor for someone his size. Finishing a few buckets in transition to go along with strong post-moves on the interior. Solid defender with good communication skills. Forcing lots of pass-ups in the paint. You also have Maverick Lebrun. An athletic 6'4” combo ranked in the top 20. He almost threw a ferocious dunk in the games first half. He also spaced out well on the floor which gave him numerous easy buckets. Quick first-step flying down the lane for another bucket midway though the game. A player who came off the bench also shined. 6'7” F [player_tooltip player_id='1263165' first='Aiden' last='Costain'] showed so much strength on the low block and was a key contributor on both ends. Grabbed lots of difficult rebounds defensively. Converted at a high clip with a smooth release near the rim. The game was close early on. But became a decent-sized blowout. 6'4” F Makhi Winter had a strong second half with 10 points and two 3-pointers. [player_tooltip player_id='1535886' first='Nick' last='Hanson'] led all scorers with 20 points.
