Grit Region Finals: Teddy’s Top Stock Risers

Dohnal caught my attention in a variety of ways as a playmaking PG/Combo. Transition dunk in the first game. Also showed excellent footwork with a strong first step attacking the rim. Made several flashy passes in the air throughout the contest. Displayed three-level scoring capabilities offensively and made numerous key plays at the end of their first matchup. Slides his feet well while defending on the ball. Nice playmaking abilities to get guys involved. This lengthy 6'4” SG has tons of upside. Uses good footwork and upper-body strength to attack the rim while keeping mental errors at a minimum. Came through late in their opening matchup with a forced turnover and a converted and-one. Plays the game at a fast pace. I didn't see him take many jump shots. He's got outstanding speed up the floor to go along with an impressive athletic build. I also like his defensive footwork to go along with excellent distribution skills. Coast-to-coast and-one in the championship game was probably his best play all weekend. Set the tone almost instantly with a blocked 3-pointer out of bounds. Got going offensively later on. To me, he's a player that can most definitely develop into a winger at the next level.
