Jalen has the potential to develop into an enforcer down low. At 6’6 he plays bigger than his listed height due to his strength, and he was nearly impossible for opposing bigs to move on the block. He was at his best on the defensive end where he could hold his ground down low, and alter shots repeatedly with his length when walling up. Showed the agility to step in from the help-side and block/alter shots coming in from off the ball. Offensively he was scrapping for putback buckets and utilized his strength to power up and score through contact around the rim.

This 6’6″ sophomore forward from Proviso Math and Science Academy stands out before you even see him play. Boyd has incredible physical tools at 6’6″ with long arms and a strong, athletic frame. Then, once he starts playing, you really start to see the high-ceiling to his game. He finished with both hands around the basket, was disruptive defensively, and displayed good patience when facing up to score off of the block. Plays with Basketball Paradise 2026.
