GASO Summer Finale Saturday Stock Rising Superstars

This article is a continuation of our GASO Summer Finale Saturday Prospect Watch. There were so many different levels of hoopers at this event who excelled in their respective divisions and made an impact in their recruiting. Let's evaluate a second batch of these players who helped their team in numerous ways while they were on the court. Several of these athletes caught my eye during their afternoon/evening games and continued to impress as the weekend went on.    Ja'Corian was impressive on both sides of the ball in [program_tooltip program_id='2385486' first='Second' last='2 None']'s win over HD Toros on Saturday evening. Oes possesses tremendous IQ and decision making with the rock in his hands and can make things happen for teammates in the blink of an eye. His rebounding ability is tenacious under the basket and he puts his body on the line fighting for loose balls. He even brings the ball up the court on occasion and doubles as a small forward/combo guard. In this game, he showed me that he can score the ball from all three levels and lock up full court also on defense as he was playing man to man on the primary ballhandler for the majority of the game. Oes recently gained an offer from John Woods after his impressive play last weekend. He continues to project as a major stock riser in 2025!!     Jax was an unstoppable force under the basket in Team Trae Young 3SSB 17u's win over [program_tooltip program_id='2078780' first='3D' last='Empire'] during the evening slate of games. Kerr uses his length and wingspan to block shots at the rim as well as rebound at a high rate, while also creating opportunities for teammates on fastbreaks. He isn't selfish with the ball at all, knowing when to take advantage of a mismatch or pass to a wide open shooter. I was impressed with Jax's discipline on defense, not biting on pump fakes and staying planted with his hands straight up to change/deflect opponents shots. This was my first time getting to watch Kerr and he has a sky high ceiling.     Knowledge was one of the main playmakers/scorers for ASAK 17u 3SSB in their morning statement win over OWE EYCL. Carter showed tremendous poise in the face of pressure as he hit several long range shots in the first half to give his team an early lead and continued his high level play throughout the duration of the contest. Knowledge shot the ball at an impressive rate the entire game and also managed around 6-7 assists, never hesitating to make the extra pass. His playmaking during this weekend was highly underrated and his stock continues to rise, despite being one of the smaller guards on the court.     Elijah was one of the most dominant players in TJ Ford's game against ATX Future 17u. He was relentless in crashing the glass on both ends of the court and attacked the basket on offense with great precision and finishing ability. Sherwood's defense also helped change the tone of this game and swung the momentum towards TJ Ford Academy. If Elijah continues playing at this level, he will turn a lot of heads his way on the recruiting path.     Jaden was on fire from the field in the SA Suns 17u win over Miles Select. Jones showed accuracy shooting the basketball from long range as well as ability to drive and dish at a consistent rate. The facilitating from Jaden in this game caught my eye as he demonstrated a great ability to set the tempo to the advantage of the Suns and handled pressure well when running the offense. This was my first time getting to watch Jaden and project that he will only continue to improve as a young prospect in the works.     Court was the point guard in [program_tooltip program_id='2076309' first='Southern' last='Assault'] 15u's win over Team Griffin EYBL and had great decision making/pace setting ability. Gaylor was constantly able to locate where his teammates were open on the court and showed that he is a true floor general when it comes to running the offense. Court also was impressive on defense with his lateral quickness and ability to play passing lanes with great effectiveness. In my opinion while watching this game, Court was one of the top underrated point guards during this entire event.
