With teams from across the country traveling to play in the 2024 National Open Championship, it is a great opportunity for players to showcase what they got and turn themselves into prospects. These players were the highest energy players who brought it from the opening tip to the final whistle on Friday Night.

This was the second time I've watched Busse play, and I have been very impressed with his shot creation. He might dribble up the court calmly but will hit you with a step back or spin move into a pull-up. He wasn't just a shot creator but also a shot maker, hitting multiple 3's and knocking down a few corner pull-ups. The part of Busse's game I loved the most was his tenacity on the glass. He had four offensive rebounds off his misses, fueling a late second-half comeback with second-chance points. As a defender, he is someone you love having on your team but would hate to play against. He gets in the other team's head throughout the game, rattling them by the end.

Terras had a very efficient night scoring from all three levels. He had two threes, two mid-range jumpers, and plenty of buckets around the rim. There were 6 or 7 times that Terras made his way deep into the paint and got to the foul line, where he shot around 75%. He had a strong night on the defensive end as well, disrupting the driving lanes and tipping passes. The all around scoring effort from Terras helped build the lead for his [program_tooltip program_id='2078372' first='ECI' last=''] squad up until the last few minutes of the game. The consistency from Terras was key to his [program_tooltip program_id='2078372' first='ECI' last=''] teams success all night.

Green continued his great summer tonight in a huge win for his Blue Chips squad. At 5'9, Green has to work a little harder when he gets into the paint, but that definitely does not stop him. Green used his tight handle to attack the cup and either went up with layup or dumped it off to a teammate for an open layup. Green caused some “oohs” and “ahs” from the crowd with one hesitation move that shifted the defender, leading into a wide open layup. Green, along with the rest of his team, played a very solid defensive game, doubling the main ball handler and causing turnovers all game.

Grant caught fire early for the Blue Chips, hitting two 3's early, giving his squad an early 11-6 lead. The scoring clinic did not stop there, as he added another first half three. After the third trey ball, defenders had to close out hard onto him. As he saw a defender close out hard, Mitchell attacked and penetrated the defense to get a floater near the basket, tallying his tenth and eleventh points. Similarly to [player_tooltip player_id='2416947' first='Ayden' last='Green'], Mitchell was a huge part of the strong defensive effort. He was not easy to move and played good help defense against driving opponents.

Despite a slow scoring start for both teams, Pollard quickly got active in the box score. He hit a nice step back 3, and it was evident that his confidence immediately rose. The rest of the first half was all Pollard, whether it was stepping behind the arc and nailing a triple or taking it all the way through the lane for an acrobatic layup. One play sp[program_tooltip program_id='2078372' first='ECI' last='']fically turned some heads when Pollard made his defender stumble and fall over, but kept composure to knock down the mid-range jumper. His scoring kept his teams energy up all game, and a dunk attempt that just barely rimmed out would've taken the roof off the place.
