Film Room: Grassroots Review (Part 1)

He's an athletic lead guard who's capable of leading by example and taking over games with his athleticism and decision-making with the ball in his hands. He's due for a strong senior campaign at West Caldwell High after producing 22.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.5 assists per game as a junior in 2023-24.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JordanPatt3/status/1813744049477837148 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kazakos had himself quite the productive grassroots season with [program_tooltip program_id='2078512' first='NC' last='Spartans']. He's a shifty lead guard who's shown he can attack the painted area and get others involved in the offense with the ball in his hands. He doesn't force the issue when looking to attack and does well to take what the defense gives him when making shot selections. He does well to push the pace and find ways to make his presence felt when he's on the hardwood. He's utilizing his athleticism a whole lot more to get to the rim and show off his ability to finish in traffic and it's time college coaches starting taking notice. He's shown he can attack with and without the ball in his hands as an attacking guard prospect. He's done work with Team Scoot on the Pro16 stage this spring/summer and it's ultimately shown in his ranking as he's moved from the watchlist to No. 34 in the latest rankings update for the 2027 class. He's got tremendous confidence with the ball in his hands and won't hesitate to score points in bunches when needed. He's a big man with good hands and mobility on both ends of the floor that he's learned to utilize to his advantage. He's a patient presence in the pick-and-roll game who's shown he's capable of acting as a scorer and a passer when he receives the ball. He's already become quite the anchor defensively and as he continues to add offense, look for college programs in the region to take interest in his game.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Grant_Overman9/status/1813620903294726523 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Wilson has improved tremendously this grassroots cycle with [program_tooltip program_id='2225832' first='Team' last='Curry'] East as he heads into his senior season at Southern Wake Academy. He's a versatile prospect at 6-foot-7 who's shown he can operate in a variety of ways as a playmaker, rebounder and defensive presence. He can attack off the bounce as well as he can attack off the catch, taking what's given to him as an attacking and playmaking presence.
