Frye is a prospect who has shown he can operate in a variety of ways already at 6-foot-4 in the 2027 class as he debuts at No. 40 in the latest rankings update. He's listed at the small forward spot given his ability to operate at the combo guard, wing and forward role with his length and athleticism. Offensively, he's shown he can create for himself and others and knock down shots on the perimeter. Defensively, he's shown he can hold his own and defend the 1-4 spot with his strong frame and knack for rebounding the basketball. He's a name out of Panther Creek High to keep an eye on in the class.

Motta is a name to get to know in the Fayetteville area out of Overhills High School. He's done damage on the 9th grade scene with [program_tooltip program_id='2616092' first='Mentality' last='Elite'] as they took home a championship at the US Open Basketball Tournament at Rock Hill this past June. He's a combo guard who's shown he can handle the ball and make things happen in the open court with his length and athleticism. As he debuts at No. 44 in the latest rankings update for the 2027 class, he's got a bright future ahead of him in the state of North Carolina.

Chase makes his debut at No. 47 off the Watch List as he's made noise with a tough [program_tooltip program_id='2375668' first='SW15H' last='Elite'] squad on the grassroots scene. He's another prospect at 6-foot-5 who's shown a bit of versatility in the class with a knack for knocking down shots from deep and his tremendous passing ability out of the painted area. He's a name out of the 919 area at Wake Forest High who should create quite the name for himself before it's all said and done. He's a double-double machine in the making who's continued to grow in the 2027 class.

Johnson is another wing/forward prospect to get to know in the 2027 class as he debuts at No. 55 off the Watch List out of Piedmont Classical High in the 336 area. He's a long, wiry prospect at 6-foot-5 who's shown he can operate at either forward role given his ability to defend smaller guards with his length and nose for the ball. He's quickly found his athleticism already heading into his sophomore year as a prospect who loves to play around the rim on both ends of the hardwood.

Cockerham makes his debut at No. 61 off the Watch List in the latest update for the 2027 class out of Cardinal Gibbons High in the Raleigh area. He's another versatile prospect at 6-foot-3 who's shown he can play above the rim and fill it up from deep as he has this summer on [program_tooltip program_id='2078546' first='Team' last='Trezz'] on the grassroots scene this spring/summer so far. He's got a big year coming up with an opportunity to play a big role on the varsity squad as he continues his development in the state. He's a name to keep an eye on over the next few months as he's already a highly-rated football recruit.
