Expert Analysis
Elan Muniz | Prep Hoops Scout
Chase felt like one of the tone-setters all weekend. He’s got a strong frame, plays through contact, and brings real energy, but what stood out was how much he impacted the game beyond just hustle. He was comfortable spacing it, finishing strong, and staying involved every trip down. Just a steady, physical presence.

Chase is one to keep an eye on with SW15H Elite, sporting a stronger frame with tremendous athleticism to go with it; physical specimen who likes to bang in the paint and score in traffic; really nice game in isolation as a creator and facilitator

Chase makes his debut at No. 47 off the Watch List as he’s made noise with a tough SW15H Elite squad on the grassroots scene. He’s another prospect at 6-foot-5 who’s shown a bit of versatility in the class with a knack for knocking down shots from deep and his tremendous passing ability out of the painted area. He’s a name out of the 919 area at Wake Forest High who should create quite the name for himself before it’s all said and done. He’s a double-double machine in the making who’s continued to grow in the 2027 class.

Chase had some outstanding performances this weekend in Rock Hill, capped with a 34 point, 15 rebound game against Carolina Pressure to end the tournament. He’s showing he can be an outstanding rebounder at any level, using size and technique to find open pockets of space and corral missed shots. Also using that same frame in order to powerfully get to the basket and finish around the rim. Saw some real floor stretching ability from him too, knocking down threes and mid-range jumpers.

Palmer is a 6’5″ wing/forward combo with a great skill set and also great athleticism for his size. He displays great touch around the basket and also displays range out to the 3 point line. He also is a plus rebounder that uses great positioning and exceptional hands to grab balls of the rim. Palmer plays great positional defense and has the ability to recover and get blocks. Another thing that sets him apart at this age is his ability to set crushing screens. As he continues to get experience, he is an player to monitor closely.

to earn himself a spot on the Wake Forest High varsity squad given his ability and size already at 6-foot-3. He’s a bouncy wing/forward prospect who can fly around on both ends in the painted area. He should be an upperclassmen to keep track of in the early going heading into 2023-24.

Palmer was one of the best rebounders at the Freshman Showcase. He knows how to use his size, takes and finishes through contact on either side of the basket and does good job passing out of the post. He has good hands, runs well in transition and a solid athlete who finishes above the rim in traffic and protects the basket. Palmer can step out and space the floor on a consistent basis as well.

Chase was a sizeable prospect for Team 6 who showed he could operate inside and out with his size and length. He got to his spots in the painted area and finished with authority on a few different occasions. When driving to the bucket wasn’t an option, he simply spotted up on the perimeter and knocked down shots on the perimeter with ease. He’s a prospect with an advanced skill set to track out of Wake Forest High in NC’s 2027 class.
