Johnson is another wing/forward prospect to get to know in the 2027 class as he debuts at No. 55 off the Watch List out of Piedmont Classical High in the 336 area. He’s a long, wiry prospect at 6-foot-5 who’s shown he can operate at either forward role given his ability to defend smaller guards with his length and nose for the ball. He’s quickly found his athleticism already heading into his sophomore year as a prospect who loves to play around the rim on both ends of the hardwood.

Johnson was impressive in a number of ways. Firstly, given his size at 6-foot-3, he was easily one of the biggest prospects in attendance and lived up to his size. He was one of the more athletic finishers on the day but also showed he could operate on the perimeter and knock down shots from deep. He showed he wasn’t afraid to defend around the rim as well, blocking a few shots and being a presence in the paint.
