Lowe came out firing for Davidson and never looked back as one of the top 3-point shooters on the day. He knocked down four 3-pointers in their opening contest then followed that up with a barrage of 3-pointers to show off his ability to knock down shots at volume off the catch and off the bounce. He wasn’t one-dimensional either as he put the ball on the floor and showed he could make things happen as a playmaker as well. He’s got a bright future ahead of him at Greensboro Day School.
Bush was the best floor general on the day with the Davidson squad. He showed off his court vision in their early route of Stokes/Surry as he got his shooters open and found his teammates on the break for easy lay-ins. He was one of the more unselfish prospects on the day as he constantly looked to get others involved. He showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter as well, closing out the day with the winning 3-pointer in the 21-Game series.
Highlights
Davis was an active combo guard presence for the Guilford squad as he showed off what he could do in their backcourt. He showed he could step out and knock down shots off the catch and did well to run the floor and finish on the break. Defensively, he was a terror with his on-ball pressure, blocking shots and forcing turnovers when ever possible. He’s a prospect to keep eyes on at Allen Jay Prep.
Johnson was impressive in a number of ways. Firstly, given his size at 6-foot-3, he was easily one of the biggest prospects in attendance and lived up to his size. He was one of the more athletic finishers on the day but also showed he could operate on the perimeter and knock down shots from deep. He showed he wasn’t afraid to defend around the rim as well, blocking a few shots and being a presence in the paint.
Winston was impressive in the Guilford backcourt and kicked the day off knocking down the game-winner in their opening game. He showed he could knock down the 3-ball and play without the ball in his hands. He was an aggressive threat with the ball in his hands and looked to push the pace when he got rebounds out the net on the defensive end. He’s a prospect with good upside coming out of the Guilford area.
Tynes was a big presence for R.A.C.A. in the frontcourt as he led the way for them in the paint. He was a burden down low on both ends of the floor and utilized his size well to get easy layups and putbacks in the paint. He even showed he could work in the high post and knock down midrange shots. He’s a young name to keep track of out of Reidsville Middle given his size and ability.
Harris was another one of those prospects that did a little bit of everything for his squad while utilizing his size and frame. He showed a versatile skillset and wasn’t afraid to operate inside and out for his Davidson squad. He knocked shots on the perimeter and finished around the rim in the paint while showing he could play a physical brand of basketball.
Adams was quite the guard prospect for the R.A.C.A. that showed he could make plays for himself and others consistently. He was impressive handling the basketball and finding teammates in space for easy buckets. He showed he could get rebounds out the net and create his own offense as well. He’s a name to track at Graham Middle.
Robinson was a strong two-way presence for R.A.C.A. as he led the way on defense and on the offensive attack for them with his ability to push the pace and get to his spots around the rim. He was one of the top paint-touchers on the day that looked to make things easy for himself and others while utilizing his athleticism and length.
