Parkway High holds its second, one day team camp on Tuesday. While teams like Captain Shreve, Airline, and Bossier return, Alexandria (ASH) High and Ouachita will be added to the mix. Couple that with class 1-4A teams such as BTW (Shreveport) and Northwood (Shreveport), this should be a highly competitive day. Week one had some standout performances and players who have shown improvement. In this preview, we will highlight a few players to watch in today's session at Parkway.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561807' first='Marcus' last='Lofton'] - The Gator senior guard got off to a rough start last week especially shooting the ball. However, on Saturday, he looked as if he turned a corner. Lofton is very good at getting to his spots and shooting shots that are comfortable for him within the offense. He is very good at attacking the paint and creates opportunities for his teammates. Look for his shooting to improve which will open up more things for the Gators.

[player_tooltip player_id='2318065' first='Eli' last='Washington'] - Washington is one of the more versatile wings that we have in Shreveport-Bossier. He is 6'6", rangy, and he has a ton of offensive skill. He is versatile enough to put the ball on the deck and attack the rim. Washington can also stand beyond the arc and drill the three. His offensive rebounding is something to watch. If he is doing all of these things, he fills a stat sheet with ease. Definitely a player to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1967571' first='Gmarrion' last='Scott'] - When it comes to athleticism, there may not be a more gifted player in the twin city area. Scott rises off the floor with ease and has the ability to rebound and finish over and through traffic. Sometimes he moves quickly and handling the ball when attacking the goal is an issue (like Saturday). However, his gifts are there. Running the floor and rebounding are things he does well but he has a ceiling that he is yet to reach.

[player_tooltip player_id='2218442' first='Tyshawn' last='Duncan'] - The ASH forward broke out onto the scene after his freshman season. He is a top five player for a very good reason. Duncan is already one of the best in the state in transition. He has added a three point shot now which gives him the ability to score on multiple levels. Duncan is also a shot blocker and controls the paint. His all-around skill will definitely give a defense fits on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466399' first='Justin' last='Slaid'] - Slaid is the latest scoring point guard in the long line of Bossier Bearkat leads. He has a solid handle with the wherewithal to get into the meat of the defense and complete plays. Slaid is also very good on the defensive end. He keeps players in front of him and takes advantage of opportunities to steal the ball when he can. Slaid may not be flashy but he is as solid as they come.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132765' first='Rodrieon' last='Dillard'] - The BTW wing is a player that can take his game to a different level. While he has the ability to score from all three levels, he is not overly aggressive. He lets the game come to him. Dillard plays within the offense well and gets his when necessary. He has the ability to facilitate or go off on scoring runs of his own. His versatility is what makes him a player to watch in this area.

The day should be exciting as they have played through some weather issues. Look for these players to be standouts as the day goes on in south Bossier.
