GLENDALE, Ariz. — The annual Section 7 team camp, one of the best live period events in the country, took place over the weekend inside of State Farm Stadium just outside of Phoenix. Many of the top high school teams on the west coast and beyond made their way to Arizona to play in front of droves of college coaches. We were in attendance and below are the prospects who went from under the radar to on the radar.

Chris Komin | 2025 | St. John Bosco (CA)

Komin put together an eye-opening performance for those who hadn't seen him in his increased role with Bosco. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard has a long, wiry frame with a smooth jumper both off the catch and off the bounce. Aside from his shooting, Komin's best attribute is his ability to impact the game with a low volume of touches. He plays alongside a handful of high major prospects and has learned how to play without the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1482164' first='Desean' last='Middlebrook'] | 2026 | Basha (AZ)

Middlebrook is a screen and roll four-man who has great hands and can feel when catching, gathering and scoring around the basket. The wiry 6-foot-4 rising junior is also a transition slashing threat whose willingness to get out and run the floor results in easy baskets in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630659' first='Isaiah' last='Carroll'] | 2025 | Harvard-Westlake (CA)

Carroll is heading toward a breakout type season as his role at Harvard-Westlake will certainly increase. The 6-foot-5 wing is a "three-and-D" prospect who stretches the floor off the catch and has the size, length and lateral speed to guard multiple positions on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703083' first='Isaiah' last='Davis'] | 2025 | Stockton Lincoln (CA)

Davis is a skilled 6-foot-5 guard/wing who showed that his basketball IQ and feel for the game allow him to play multiple positions on the floor. The rising senior has good playmaking instincts off the dribble and his combination of length and shiftiness allows him to get by defenders and into the lane where uses his vision to create for teammates or score himself at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425677' first='Kawika' last='Suter'] | 2026 | Rolling Hills Prep (CA)

Suter had a strong sophomore campaign with RHP and his performance in the Section 7 championship game firmly put him on the radar of college coaches. The 6-foot-6 wing scored 28 points on 12-for-14 from the field and added six rebounds to that effort. Suter has a smooth mid-range and three-point jump shot that are consistent both off the catch and off the bounce. He has positional size and really good feel moving without the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131784' first='King-Riley' last='Owens'] | 2026 | La Mirada (CA)

Owens missed his entire sophomore season as he was ruled ineligible by the California Interscholastic Federation after transferring from Mayfair to La Mirada. The 6-foot-1 point guard wasted no time letting coaches know what they missed on last year with his combination of speed in the open court and high IQ playmaking for teammates. Owens is a blur with the ball in transition who also remains under control and maintains his court vision. Owens is a crafty finisher around the basket despite his smaller stature.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630669' first='Trent' last='Minter'] | 2025 | Los Alamitos (CA)

Minter is a versatile wing prospect who has the perimeter shooting ability and athleticism to play the three spot and size at 6-feet-6 to play a small-ball four-man and create a mismatch. The rising senior has deep and consistent range on his catch-and-shoot three ball and hits from multiple spots on the floor. Los Alamitos plays a very uptempo brand of basketball and Minter is a player who has great stamina on both ends of the floor.
