SCBCA Live Team Camp: 2028s + 2029s

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>USE CODE “baxley30” FOR 30% THE FIRST PURCHASE FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTION</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2024 South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp took place this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in North Augusta, South Carolina at the Riverview Park Activities Center. Over 120 High School programs from the Palmetto State were in attendance at some point throughout the weekend, so this was one of the most important stops of the Prep Hoops SC Calendar. He had some bright moments in the starting lineup for the Panthers. He showed his vision, handle, speed, shooting, and ability to force turnovers in an Abbeville win. Williams was effective on and off the ball and should fill in as a nice role player in his Freshman Year. He was the primary facilitator and playmaker in the game I watched at North Augusta High School on Saturday Morning, knifing through the defense, making reads, and knocking down shots to help his team get the win. He has a great handle, the quickness to beat defenders off the dribble, and is unselfish when he gets two feet in the paint. Williams knocked down 2 threes in the matchup with Denmark-Olar, but he will follow his shot and chase an offensive rebound when he knows it's off. He has a knack for cleaning the glass on both ends of the floor with terrific instincts for where the ball falls and the size and strength to grab it once it gets there. Brayson can handle the ball and push the pass at times but also has the foundation of a post-game. He can turn over either should and finishes strong around the rim. They will likely invert most big matchups having JaBron guard most Centers. Since he has good size and a strong frame, he is more than capable of doing so. He works hard to control the paint with rim protection and glass cleaning. On the offensive end, his strength allows him to work through contact to either finish or get to the free-throw line. He had lots of success around the paint for Wando in a matchup with Dutch Fork Friday Afternoon - the first time I've watched him in person. He is a good finisher, has fundamental feet, and soft touch all of which help him be an effective low post scorer. On the defensive end, he is a solid rim protector for his age and size and affected a couple of shots in the paint. Templeton should see minutes from Day 1 and is a name to remember from the 2029 Class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
