[player_tooltip player_id='2815522' first='Herbert' last='Martin'] Edwardsville 2025

The shifty guard had it going early against the State Champions. He is quick and elusive on drives to the cup. He breaks guys down with various crossovers and counters. Martin has a nice shot but is at his best when scoring in the lane. He finished with 19 points in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1385310' first='Alexander' last='Vincent'] OPRF 2025

The big man had a heck of a game on Saturday morning. He has good footwork and poise in the post. Alex works to get foot positioning around the rim and has developed his touch with both hands when looking to score. Vincent led all scorers with 25 points.

Felix Ortiz Niles West 2025

A surprising name popped on the scene in a game filled with many top guards in the state. Ortiz was a one-man wrecking crew as he drilled 3 threes in the contest to go along with a plethora of mid-range jump shots he hit against a stingy St. Laurence team. Felix led all scorers in the game with 19 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550741' first='Jacob' last='Rice'] St. Laurence 2025

Rice continues to be a transfer that many don't talk about. But in reality, Jacob has come back to Illinois after a year at prep school with more physically and very steady at the wing position. He often draws defenders who are smaller than him which helps him muscle guys around especially when looking to score. His shot has improved since we last saw him too. He scored 14 in the win over Niles West.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552476' first='Nasir' last='Rankin'] Morgan Park 2026

Another transfer who made an immediate impact with his new squad. Nasir was in attack mode hitting 5 threes and scoring at the rim with acrobatic finishes in the lane. Rankin led all scorers with 35 points in a win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552439' first='Logan' last='Luxem'] Hersey 2026

A very intriguing guard who I caught early morning. Luxem likes to get out in transition and make plays. He's an outstanding passer who led the way. He adds touch to his passes is which is insane. Logan has some sauce to his game and at 6'3 he is ideal candidate to open some eyes to coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105169' first='Arden' last='Eaves'] Thornwood 2025

Eaves is a player who has started to fill out some and has definitely added to his game. Once a skinny catch-and-shoot kid has now become a serious three-level scoring threat. Arden has a very fluid handle to go with a second gear on his drives to the hoop. He has good basketball intellect when the ball is in his hands. I enjoyed watching him attack utilizing a stop and pop shot from the mid-range. He is an underrated college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321398' first='Zack' last='Sharkey'] Marian Catholic 2025

Sharkey is a player who continuously quiets the doubters. He's a relentless three-level scorer for Marian this season. Zack has the IQ and tools to impact any game. He has shown his improvement around the basket with savvy moves and shot fakes. Sharkey has the skills to play at a major university.
