Tyler was making key plays to help lead his team to an opening round win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] Kuhl. Offensively he did a nice job of remaining composed while under a lot of ball pressure. He was able to get past his man and force the defense to rotate, where he was able to locate an open teammate. If he caught in space, he was likely going to put points on the board as his jumper was falling at a high rate. Even when [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] started to make a push towards the end, Tyler responded with some key plays to help his team hold on to their lead.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] struggled to get much going on Friday night, but I thought DJ had some nice flashes. Defensively he was constantly applying pressure to the ball, showing good lateral quickness to stick with his man like glue. He showcased some quick hands to reach in and poke the ball free on multiple occasions. Offensively he has some shiftiness to get to his spots off the dribble, and was finding success drawing fouls to get to the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2286030' first='Grant' last='Wilkinson'] was cleaning up everything inside for Hoop City. At 6'8 and 305 pounds, there just wasn't anyone strong enough to keep him off the glass, and he did a great job of keeping the ball high and going right back up for putback buckets. At his size he does a great job of recognizing where the ball is coming off the rim, and chasing it down to pull in the board. Always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. He played a key role off the bench in the win over Minnesota Falcons.

Good luck finding someone who plays harder than Easton. The 2025 point guard was all over the place on Friday night, making plays on both ends of the floor. He would come out of nowhere to pick off a pass, and then took off to get his team out in transition. So good at changing his speeds to get into the lane, where he's a crafty finisher who also has the vision to dump it off to one of his bigs. He was doing a bit of everything to help lead his team to an opening round win.

Colton was making plays on both ends for Hoop City. Playing up a year, he was a strong defender who has both the agility to defend on the wing, and the strength to hold his ground and wall up in the paint. Showed quick hands to strip the ball free on multiple occasions when his man tried to drive, and always seemed to be in position to contest shots without fouling around the basket. Was scoring with efficiency and taking high percentage looks around the basket.

Unsigned senior Gideon Cooper was making an impact in the paint for Minnesota Falcons. He blocked four shots on Friday night, using his long frame and quickness off the floor to slide into position and get a piece of the ball. Moves his feet well at 6'6 and is an explosive athlete with his long and wiry frame. Offensively showed flashes of footwork around the basket, and converted on some tough looks against a frontcourt filled with size. Any time I see him play he produces at a high level as a rebounder and shot blocker.
